My current theory is that Hallis Previn is Ludinus. His mother built the Factorum Malleus intending to save the world, to do what she thought was the right thing, and was ultimately punished for it. What if the Everlight's healing was so powerful it prevented him from dying in the crash -- indeed, made him the sole survivor of the crash -- and he's resented it all these centuries but is intent on finishing what his mother started and taking it further than she would've dared, because fuck not just the Betrayers in particular but All These Gods, who chose each other over a peaceful world for mortals?

Also, all the letters of "Hallis" are in "Ludinus Da'leth" so...???

if i had a nickel for everytime a young child of a very important authority in a flying city of the age or arcanum managed to escape the fall of their city with (possibly) a great knowledge that might be lost to post-calamity exandria in thier power i'd have two nickels. which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Quick note: Umleta referred to Cassida Previn as a human (Beacon VOD 0:24:47), so that would make Hallis either human or half-human, while Ludinus is an elf.
