Leatherface/Bubba's Pretty Women version is also getting a Animatronic from HalloweenCostumes.
It looks great. Unlike the Ash Williams animatronic it does make sound, not any quotes as leather face doesn't really, well, speak, but they added chainsaw noises and him grunting along with victims screaming. So thats a W.
Honestly looks a lot better then the other option for leather face.
Theres just somthing off here, but with the Pretty Women design he overall just feels more complete.
One day though, I will have them, and I will be able to hug him, just to fufill my teenager desires.
Holy shit Spirit Halloween has some SERIOUS competition this year in the animatronic department from Halloweencostumes.com they just launched a massive collection of really good animatronics
There’s a lot of them that would be really fun to just have in your yard obviously but coming from a scare actors perspective there’s also a versatile selection for different haunt themes! The sculpts are great, quite a few double as fog machines or other cool gimmicks, just a really solid showing over all. Obviously the animatronic movements on all of them are pretty simple, but they all also have a pretty attainable price point for quality animatronics.
putting some of my favorites below the cut, warning for dolls and clowns lol
I love the little doll on her rubber duck playground ride. Actually there’s enough haunted dolls to make a good haunted house theme out of
Okay so I entered an animatronics design contest and finally got my last submission approved. Voting starts now until June 30th and the top two with the most votes will get picked!
I have six designs people can vote on if you like them but I encourage you to check out the other entries. There may be something you like better!
Where can I learn about them and vote?
Two ways:
1. Check out my entries for the HalloweenCostumes.com Design Program!

Onto the animatronics themselves!
The Hare Houdini
He is a rabbit magician animatronic based off a character from a popular TV show. They mass produced him but the original was sadly abandoned.
Inspiration: Word play on the famous magician Harry Houdini, Bunny Man, and a couple of dope ass animatronics/props, one being a scary ass rabbit.
Miss PRAM (Petunia's baby really is a monster)
This one is my personal favorites. Her name was originally Miss Carriage but was changed for obvious reasons. Miss PRAM was a pregnant woman in the 1900s who was told her baby was going to be born a demon or a monster. Did she take pills to terminate or have the baby anyway?
Inspiration: Edwardian Era, I love these types of animatronics, man.
Laura and Carmilla
These two lovely ladies are lesbian lovers. We always talk about Dracula but where's love for Carmilla? She and Laura deserve the spotlight!
Inspiration: Corpse Bride Animatronics, 1872 novel Carmilla by Le Fanu.
Poisoned from the Ssstheart
An author or poet's story about a toxic lover became sensationalized in the newspaper! Must be a slow news day. This one is a mini prop/animatronic!
Inspiration: My friend gave me the idea to use a concept I already had and have it pop out of the heart or something. I drew it, titled it, came up with the story, and specifics!
Mary's Mirror of the Damned
Mary was a cruel and vain actress who loved killing people and combing her hair in front of the mirror. Karma came for her in the form of murder and she's trapped in the mirror with her victims! Now you can summon her and ask her questions.
Inspiration: Murders, Bloody Mary
Not Enough Witchcraft
Margaret Faust was taken from her bed and executed by being burned at the stake. She was accused of not doing enough witchcraft!
storebought halloween costumes, some unlicensed (dc edition)
Last year I looked at unlicensed patterns. This year I want to look at Halloween costumes, many of them very bad, that come from costume retailers. This ranges from Spirit Halloween (not the best quality, always, but sometimes they actually get licenses, and sometimes an effort is made) to websites like Yandy (which is just for sexy garbage costumes — not saying they’re garbage because they’re sexy, but because they’re poorly-made sexy). First up is DC, which is admittedly going to mostly be Harley Quinn because, uh, everyone makes Harley Quinn costumes even if they’re not saying so.
I am also sticking to adult women’s costumes. A lot of sites are adults-only, after all, and I just have less to say about men’s costumes.
I thought “The Purple People Eater” was just some song from the Fifties (which is probably cheap to license, judging by how often it’s used in movies and television). But, after someone made a post about it, I did some Googling, and found it has quite a legacy. There’s a “Purple People Eater” movie, a board game, and a slew of miscellaneous merchandise, the weirdest example of which is pictured above.
