I can post whatever I want and what I want to post is JAM
Here’s our first recording from day 1! A cover of Gone Daddy Gone by the VIolent Femmes. We started the day with just some general shoptalk about our goals, deciding that we want to get a recording of our work from that day each day. Our advisor, Mr. Birrow came and talked to us to give us some tips on how to stay productive and how to stay on track for the next 10 days. He suggested we make a list each day. We didn’t have a list for this day, but we had a clear goal in mind: bring Gone Daddy Gone to a point where we feel confident performing and recording it, which we met (thank god)!
We brought this song together from basically learning the tabs (from online tablature) to playing and singing it together and recording it. It took hours of intensive work! We didn’t realize how much work and how many hours go into each recording of each song, and that every artist out there does this. We probably did like 17 takes of this song... hopefully it’ll get easier in the future.
This Danish singer may be called KING but she is certain to become the next queen of pop if her track Promise is anything to go by. A dark pop track with a killer drop for chorus mixed with an effortless vocal and a tone in her voice that is just beautiful to listen to. This is dark pop done right - Jakk
Meme Dream: Ham Jam
I dreamt that I logged onto tumblr this morning to see the ashes of a meme. Everyone was quietly agreeing that the ham jam meme had gone too far, and that it would be best not to speak of it again. The original ham jam posts were deleted, and all I could see for pages and pages of my dash were the stunned reactions. Pictures of people blacklisting the words “ham” and “jam”. Loss edits of a ham racing through a hospital to find an upturned jar of jam. “What the fuck is ham jam”, I send an ask to a friend. “I’m sorry but ham jam was really emotionally draining and I’m not sure I can go through that again”, they reply. “yfip: still talks about ham jam”, someone reblogs. A world tainted by this dark meme, and I the lone innocent, last of the old era.
