some more sad hiro hcs bc i like making myself miserable

hiro cries by himself a lot more than he’d rather admit

he hates how awkward he can be

gets embarrassed when someone brings up his height

really insecure about himself

sometimes he actually feels really lonely

esp at night when baymax isnt active and hes alone 

once slept in tadashi’s bed and woke up screaming

wears all of tadashis old shirts

he’ll go days at a time without talking to anybody

aunt cass always catches him on the floor in front of the tv

hes always on his tummy, sketching out something or watching a movie

he wont eat certain doughnuts anymore because they were tadashi’s favourites

gets nervous really easily

struggles to breathe at night sometimes when he’s left alone with his own thoughts

overthinks a lot

whilst witty and sarcastic, he’s also shy and can be really quiet

isn’t as confident as he makes himself out to be

misses tadashi every single day. even if he doesn’t act like it.

he cries about tadashi a lot. aunt cass thought he wouldn’t cry as much as he got older, but now she thinks it’s just part of his nature and the trauma he’s been through.

has a really hard time accepting people into his life that aren’t within his family or friend group (and/or any kind of relation to aunt cass)

he just content with the people he has, and it’s overwhelming for him.

struggles with eating and sleeping

sometimes sleeps with aunt cass

he can get moody and irritable if he’s in a funk, and usually it takes a good cry for him to snap out of it.

never really fights his crying because tadashi always encouraged it

he just never lets the others see

as much as he is their leader, hiro is undoubtedly the baby of the team, and is reminded of it frequently

he’ll never admit it, but he actually likes their babying. it gives him some sort of comfort, because they look after him the ways that tadashi did

it upsets him at times too: ‘don’t call me that, only tadashi called me that’ etc. but mostly, he accepts the coddling and lets himself enjoy the comfort.

pretends to be asleep in the lab sometimes because he knows wasabi or fred (or sometimes honey) will carry him out. he likes that too.

loves back rubs. too shy to ask for them.

sometimes aunt cass will give him them, though. during movie nights hiro will usually doze off, head in her lap. she’ll play with his hair and rub his back. it’s so soothing for him.

he can literally just get desperate for a bit of comfort, honestly. he just really likes to feel safe.

tells aunt cass he loves her every day in case it’s his last.

whispers ‘i love you nii-san’ into the ceiling every night. sometimes into the stars if it’s warm enough to leave his window open.

Hiro: This year, I lost my dear brother Tadashi.

Tadashi: Quit telling everyone I'm dead!

Hiro: Sometimes I can still hear his voice.

Tadashi was kidnapped by a top secret organisation when he ran back into that burning exhibition centre and was escorted out the fire exit, narrowly missing the explosion. When he heard Hiro crying out his name he tried to call out to him but was quickly silenced and taken away.

Surprise it’s the summon anon with a hamafam hc! Every thanksgiving aunt cass goes all out and invites over any employee or regulars who don’t have a place over for dinner. They close the cafe and rearrange the floor so they can have a huge feast. Tadashi isn’t allowed to cook cause he burns so easily-oh I meant the food jk. But once cass is done with the main dishes she leaves the room for hiro to make dessert. Once he enters the kitchen NO ONE is allowed to cross the threshold until he’s done.

alright ladies and gentlemen

yoooo aunt cass makes a MEAN thanksgiving dinner

seriously she goes all out with the french recipes and roasts and all kinds of meat dishes

the woman is brilliant

they set the tables of the cafe all in one line like jesus’ last supper and decorate the cafe with christmas decorations and fairy lights and tinsel and play christmas music and it’s magical

usually kind of a lot of people turn up, and if word gets around that the lucky cat cafe holds people for thanksgiving that don’t have anywhere to go,,,,,;)

hiro is an absolute ANIMAL in the kitchen

even tadashi isn’t allowed to cross him

he has his own recipe and own equipment and literally turns into a tiny wasabi for the night

sleeves rolled up, apron tied, fingers cracked, and he’s ready to rock and roll

once he’s in the zone, dare you disrupt him and you might find yourself on a 3 month bender back to zimbabwe

whisks furiously with a wooden spoon. mixes ingredients together like there’s a timed bomb about to go off. seriously, he’s an absolute ATHLETE

he makes these really interesting pastries that are really popular among the cafe and everyone dining. it’s not exactly his own man made recipe, but he’s added his own secret touch and is actually really proud of how much people enjoy them

one year hiro got so stressed that he had some kind of breakdown in the kitchen and just sat on the floor with an empty tray in his hands looking like he was about to sob hysterically and tadashi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry with him

tadashi helps him prepare — that’s it. only because hiro cant reach half the stuff he needs

mochi is forbidden

overall, the desserts are a 10/10. he can make an unreal cake too, with fondant icing that looks like a holly crown. it’s really really good.

also aunt cass forces hiro and tadashi to wear those matching christmas jumpers that light up because she thinks it’s cute.

neither of them are amused.

bh6 anniversary

i cant believe it’s been so long. forever grateful for everything that movie and this fandom has brought me. here’s to 5 years of big hero 6 kiddos, and many more. <3
