Hamilton Square. Nikon F65. Ilford Delta 3200.
The construction iof Hamilton Square began in 1825. It is inspired by New Town in Edinborugh and was intended to form part of much larger development. No tweo sides of the square are identical and the gardens in the center where purchased by by the council in 1903 and opened to the public. The east side of the square was left vacant until 1883 when work began on Birkenhead Town Hall.
Whenever I visit the other side of the Mersey I like to take a walk around the square as it is incredibly beautiful. Prior to attending a gig at nearby Future Yard I snapped a few shots on Ilford Delta 3200. I really do need to go back during the day with a more conventional film stock in my camera.
