You need to play the actual lottery because didn't you win the Hamilton lottery like twice?
LOL maybe...I won the Hamilton Chicago lottery 3(?) times... I can’t actually remember anymore. Whenever a show has a lottery I always enter. I’ve gotten to see so much theatre on a budget this way!
I’m pretty sure I saw it in Chicago 4 times (1st time was with the tickets we bought, 3 other times were lotto wins) and once in London.
Watching Hamilton again... Bringing up some memories from when I went to Chicago to see it with my dad. Here are a few fond memories. (From July 15, 2018)
The ladies in front of me kept leaning forward, so I had to lean forward to see the stage, period. (No one was seated behind me, so I was fine).
Andrew Call as King George III was the. Absolute. Best.
I also loved having Jimmie "JJ" Jeter and Jin Ha as Hamilton and Burr, respectively.
Burr was so freaking tiny!
Hamilton was significantly shorter than Eliza, enough so that I could see the height difference from way up in the balcony.
Hamilton had a lot more fun mocking Seabury. I could see his goofy expressions way up high.
Burr yelled the lyric about "This man will not make an orphan of my daughter" with so much more emotion than even the soundtrack.
Peggy enjoyed hanging out with Mulligan. A lot.
Her dress also got caught near the stairs as she sat on the turntable during Helpless, when Hamilton asked for Eliza's hand.
I had brought a small pack of tissues and tried to get them out quietly during It's Quiet Uptown-- to no avail. The woman next to me reached over and handed me two of her own tissues before offering me a look like "I know."
King George was all up in Hamilton's face during The Reynolds Pamphlet.
A bit late but, Happy Hamilton Day in Chicago! Congratulations to Miguel Cervantes for being recognized as Chicagoan of the Year! And also for his soon take over of the role of Alexander Hamilton in Broadway this year. He's been so strong for the past few months and I'm proud of him ♡
Apparently when I’m scared I start singing Hamilton???
So I was watching a scary YouTube video & halfway through I realized I was singing Blow Us All Away from Hamilton????? I was like ok I guess this is my life now
