A pearl betwixt the sheets 🖤
Alrighty, it's been well over a week since I promised to give a hand tut so here we go
✨️Voilà✨️
As always, until you've memorized some hand positions, use a reference. I used my own hand for this one
1] Base shape
2] Block out fingers (More on this later)
3] Little thumb nub
4] Finish thumb (I can't explain this bit, thumbs make no sense to me. I just throw one on the page and hope it looks like a thumb lol)
5] Thin little bubbles inside the finger block so your brain knows where the fingers are supposed to be (these do not have to be perfect whatsoever) Depending on the pose, drawing lines rather than bubbles would be better
6] Wrist
7] A little bit of mining off-camera

Here's some more doodles I did that hopefully explain something lol it's a mess
-
For le fingers, I start with the top-of-the-finger line, go straight, down, up and out. I don't give fingers all their joints because it's easier for me
I should make it very clear that this is NOT how one should draw fingers, but this is how I do it 👍

With all those techniques, here are some examples of how I would draw these hand positions
I didn't erase any of the guidelines so you can kinda see the process better (??)
Now, more on the fingers. I feel I must stress the importance of the finger block
I find that hands always ALWAYS look better when I don't draw every finger. I often alter hand positions slightly just so I can clump 2 or more fingers together. You can see that a bit in the above examples
Ideally, one would know anatomy better and draw each finger like they deserve, but I'm not there yet 😅😅
Rlly hope those helped someone and feel absolutely free to ask any questions!
look, all i'm gonna say is that @luzial really forced my hand on this one solas hands sketch-dump part i (??)
I've been very busy (a good type of busy!!) and barely have time to draw these days, but here are some more GMM hands, plus a Link!
