It's that time again!! Part two of my late winter/early spring batch goes live this coming Saturday (May 25th) at 3pm est.

Today was mug-illustrating (part 1/2) day! Spent the whole afternoon hunched over these four mugs sloooowly engraving Way Too Many Details (& having a great time). Looking forward to decoration part two (underglazing post-bisquefiring) sometime in the next couple of weeks!!

I'm finally (FINALLY) getting around to posting these proper photos I took of the lichen mugs in their natural habitat (Georgian Bay)!

Most of these sold at a summer market, but I'm just starting a new batch of mugs & will definitely be making a few more lichen ones. I'm also working on some bigger mugs as well, for people like me who absolutely require a half-litre of tea/coffee at a time...these wee mugs ended up being baby-cups at 200-250ml because I forgot about clay shrinkage (since this was my first time in ages making pieces where that mattered!).

I DID IT! I managed to get photos taken & edited & uploaded to the shop today so I can get the descriptions/measurements/etc done in the next couple of days for the launch on Friday (short notice, I know, sorry!!).

Glazing time!! I finished up the last of the Little Guys today, so next week will be All Mugs All The Time (wheee)!

Also, I really worked on trying to keep my handbuilt mugs more round this time and it mostly worked! Very exciting.

Ummmm did I do a proper post here to thank everyone for another rollicking shop drop? I don't think so! Oops/dang!

I can't describe how thankful I am for this incredible support, and am SO excited to tell you all that I GOT A KILN (pictured above right after we hauled it into the garage!!!!!) so I'll be able to do more & slightly bigger batches once I get the heat-beast up and running (it just needs some wee repairs before I fire it up) & get some test-firings under my belt.

I'll also be able to test glaze combos more easily & do weirder, more experimental stuff & I can't WAIT.

In the meantime, pls accept these sneak peeks from my last little firing in my friend's kiln, which contained Woodsbeasts, a few other creatures, and a few of my first round of pinch-pot vessels (which are funny b/c you can line them up from first attempt to last based on their weight. Honestly I'm amazed none of the first few cracked at all!).
