I recently set up a backdrop in my bedroom for another idea I have been working on. While I was playing around with the lighting for the photoshoot I couldn’t help but experiment with the flamenco hand gestures again as I was casting shadows against the white curtain. I recorded a video of my hands moving in flamenco like gestures. I took screenshots every so often while the video was playing at points where I thought my hands were making interesting shapes. I think the imagery I  have produced would really help inspire my other electives, particularly ceramics as I can create these gestures in clay, use them as design, or even project the video onto a sculptural piece. The first two images in this post are screenshots from the video I recorded and they are cropped and put together in a collage type fashion. The last image is my attempt to visualize what a more graphic image might look like.
