⏯ A series of wrist mobility drills, hand prep, plus shoulder and arm movements. 1️⃣ “Magnetic Wrists” I learned from @mikefitch.af at the Animal Flow training weekend. A meditative way to start connecting with the hands. 2️⃣ Shoulder circles. Scapula CAR (controlled articular rotation). A nice way to oil up the shoulder blades! This and the following ones are from FRC. 3️⃣ Wrist rotation. Block forearm from turning. Express slow, smooth, controlled articulation of wrist joint. This one never gets old, and always remains tough to do. 4️⃣ Fist/ Wrist circles. @jessica teaches this one a lot in her classes. and I’ve been hooked since day one. 5️⃣ Full arm ROM (range of motion) with axial rotation at the shoulder joint. As the arm makes the arch resist chest turning or ribs lifting. This one is like a daily vitamin and a game changer for my asana practice. 6️⃣ Hand lifts and wrists circles on the grounds.
