     V I CT O R Y. the team won their first game in the     pouring rain. garrett was so happy that he could     kiss someone. maybe it was just the adrenaline     from one of his best friends scoring the final, and     deciding, point, but he was still ecstatic. in fact,     he didn’t even care that the rain was only getting     harder with each moment that passed by. and, by     the time the team had been done clearing up the     field, garrett was left soaked and waiting for a ride     home from his dad. taking a seat out on the curb     next to mason, he was a little happier that the rain     had cleared up at least a little bit for them. 

          “You did great out there, Mason. Seriously. That           was amazing.” 

     with a laugh, the boy reached up to wipe a few drops     away from his own face before glancing towards his     friend. and, although it’d been a little bit of a time gap     since the game ended and right at that moment, he      still had TONS of adrenaline pumping through his body     at the time. without thinking twice about what he’d     wanted to do, he leaned over to press a kiss to the      other boy’s lips, only pulling away moments later to     let his jaw drop slightly.

          “I’m —— I’m sorry. That was completely uncalled           for. I should have… asked or something.”
