“Toronto West Centre M.P. Host At Successful Picnic,” Toronto Globe. August 30, 1931. Page 11. ---- Some 7,500 men, women and children of the Toronto West Centre Federal constituency were the guests yesterday at Hanlan’s Point of Samuel Factor, M.P., at the second annual picnic given by the popular Liberal member. Illustrations above of the holiday scene show, at the upper left, Mr. Factor surrounded by a bevy of youthful admirers, whose enthusiasm was so great that only with difficulty did ‘Sam’ extricate himself from the group after the picture was taken. At the upper right is a group depicting the host and three other prominent men at the outing, they being, from left to right: Harry Ceresny; Rubin Dubinsky, member of the committee in charge of the arrangements; Mr. Factor and Sigmund Brody. Below is seen the finish of the race for girls under six years. Inset is a portrait of Mrs. Factor.
