One peaceful Friday night was all Hannah was looking for.
"Look at you, you're so giggly!"
But apparently she couldn't get that. Jungwoo had decided on a self-proclaimed sleep-over with his alleged two favorite dongsaengs. Mark had fallen asleep on the couch while facetiming his girlfriend, so for now it was just Hannah and Jungwoo watching her drama. The same drama she had avoided watching because seeing herself act all aegyo-filled was strange to her.
"That's not me." The offended look Jungwoo gave her after that made her roll her eyes at him. "Stop, I know you're gonna go on your whole "you're precious when you giggle that's why we love it" rant again."
"That is you, though," he pointed out.
"Yeah, right." She laughed while tossing a skittle in her mouth. There was no laughing from beside her. "Alright, what do you have to say?"
"Precisely that," Jungwoo reached forward and ruffled her hair. "You're a happy kid. On a daily basis, you'd be as giggly Ten and Johnny when they're together. Except you hold yourself back. That's why, when in 2020 you said you'd try to act more like a kid, I looked forward to that."
Hannah gave him a tight-lipped smile. "You know why I don't really show when I'm happy."
"I know, but I'm glad you're allowing yourself more now." Their moment of seriousness was abruptly cut by Jungwoo pulling her into a tight hug and smushing their cheeks together. "We get to baby our actual maknae with less resistance, and she looks for us for more help now!"
"Jisung's our maknae!"
"You're 127's maknae!"
"Oh, let me live," she playfully pushed him away. "And watch the drama! You're the one who wanted to watch it."
"Because my little food baby is a star," Jungwoo grinned while handing her a watermelon flavored ice cream. "Now try this with me. I found it a few days ago, and I wanted to wait until you were free so we could try it together."
She gingerly took the watermelon ice cream and sniffed it a little. Strange. Maybe she should wake Mark up for this.
"Just eat it," Jungwoo opened the package wider for her, "you're my food buddy, so new food together."
"Fine."
