Happy Hanukkah and remember: there’s absolutely NO wrong way to spell it!
we finally got a happy Hannuka from dan and phil! (and any other holiday they thought of). shout out to all of us that tried making them notice hannuka since the festive live stream! OUR BATTLE WAS WON!
This necklace, for sale in my shop, has many kinds of glass beads -- clear faceted ones, clear ones with silver and blue inside, shimmery pearlescent blue ones, translucent ones in various shades of blue -- and centers a small Channukiah menorah pendant. It fastens with a lobster clasp.
I put a lot of thought while making it into how it would reflect candle light, so it has a lot of sparkle to it. There's a brief video in the shop listing to show that off a bit!
Shipping outside the USA is not currently available through the store, but I can and do ship internationally – just message me about it and pay me directly through paypal or venmo or with a card through my ko-fi, once I can get you a shipping estimate. Any order of 2 or more items from my online store comes with a free watercolour bookmark.
Hannukah having one Hebrew spelling but a thousand English ones is the 'hag equivalent of a Hebrew person who uses a bunch of neo-pronouns in English but only one L'shon P'niya in Hebrew because Hebrew doesn't have any gender-neutral terms
Happy Chanukah everyone!
One of my favorite things about being half jewish around the holiday season is that when people ask how to spell Hanukkah, I just answer “yes”. Like, any way you could possibly think to spell it is probably correct. To show this, I am going to spell it, and put all of the optional letters in parenthesis. Keep in mind that any combination of these letters is correct.
(C)han(n)uk(k)a(h)
I tried looking up all of the spellings once, and apparently there’s also a spelling with an X and also one with a Q.
So in conclusion, yes, you did spell it right, regardless of what anyone else has to say.
Made some chanuka chookies for my wife's work thing today. Made a special Yehudit one. Chappy Chanuka pt. 4 (or IV for tha hellenized)
