Tsukishima Kei was everything a woman could ever imagine. He was tall, good looking, wealthy, and intelligent. Yet something dark hides behind this seemingly flawless man. Fangs, blood, killing, lust; he grew up with all that. In fact, he was indeed one of them; the species man has dreaded for the past few centuries.
The taste of coffee tingled at his taste buds as the morning sun touched his pale skin. He was immune to sunlight and garlic, all the things that were supposed to kill him. As heir to the wealthy company his family owned after his big brother retires, he didn’t really have much to do, since at the same time he had finished his university overseas. He tries to take a little rest by fluttering his eyelids shut, yet he failed to do so when he hears a knock at the door.
“Come in,” he spoke. The door clicked open and the company’s secretary entered. She was a fine woman with elegant chestnut eyes and her sleek, auburn hair curled up into a bun. Her heels clicked onto the marble as she closed the door behind her. She was known as Mihara-san by the people of the estate.
“Tsukishima Kei-san,” she spoke, “someone’s here to visit you.” Tsukishima turns from the window to find her already in the room.
“Hmm, who is it?” The man inquires, setting his coffee cup down onto his work desk.
“He is by the name Yamaguchi Tadashi, sir. He claims to be from your old high school volleyball team,” the secretary spoke, as she seemed to be choosing her words carefully. To her, upsetting the CEO’s beloved little brother would be such a horrible thing to do. She was new, after all. The lean man in front of her curled his lips into a rare, pleasant smile.
“Ah yes, please let him in,” Tsukishima replied, seemingly pleased by the news the secretary had delivered. The woman bowed and, exited his office. A few moments later, a familiar figure entered the little brother’s office. He hasn’t changed a bit, only that his hair was cut shorter, and looked more professional. The man’s signature freckles were still present, and Tsukishima still was taller than him.
“Hello Tsukishima-san,” the man bowed down his head. Tsukishima plastered his signature smirk on his face.
“Drop the act, Yamaguchi. Don’t be so formal,” he teased. The said man then let out a laugh.
“I’m glad that I got to see you again, Tsukki~” Yamaguchi mused. It irked Tsukishima. That old nickname always got on his nerves. Yet the man with glasses walked away from his desk to give his old friend a hug and a pat on the back.
“It’s too formal here; shall we go somewhere a bit more relaxed?” Tsukishima offered.

The Tsukishima Family’s Rooftop Garden was one of Tsukishima Kei’s favorite places to relax. There was a clear-colored canopy to keep out the excessive sunlight and rain. White colored European-styled benches were seen in some parts of the garden, accompanied with a wide spread of roses, tulips, lilies, and many other types of botany. A pure white marble fountain was present in the middle of the area, etched with some beautifully written calligraphy. The two men were seated on two seats surrounding a small table with coffee and some pastries. Tsukishima sipped a bit from his coffee cup while Yamaguchi took another piece of tiramisu cake to eat.
“How is everyone?” Tsukishima asked. He had just finished his studies, so he didn’t have that much time to catch up on what was going on with his previous teammates in the volleyball team long ago.
“They’re all well,” Yamaguchi replied. His eyes flew to Tsukishima’s pale neck. The mark, it was still there. The family members of Tsukishima’s bloodline always had a family crest imprinted somewhere on their body. For Tsukishima Kei, it was his neck. A dark, faint crescent moon was visible on his smooth skin. It was always seen when the previous blocker used to wear his old team’s jersey, yet no one really brought it up during matches or practice sessions.
“What is it?” Tsukishima noticed Yamaguchi’s stare which was directed to his crest. Yamaguchi was the first non-family member to know about his true form, yet until now, the man with freckles still felt quite surprised on what his close friend had told him several years ago.
“Ah, it’s nothing~!” Yamaguchi replied breezily. He then examined the variety of cakes served in front of him and spotted something quite… eye-catching. The man then smiled cheekily.
“Oh look, its strawberry shortcake, your favorite, Tsukki~” Yamaguchi mused. Tsukishima’s lips curled in amusement.
“Tch, really, Yamaguchi?”
~*~
Hours flew by as the two former teammates conversed about their individual lives. About how Tsukishima was to become the CEO of his family’s wealthy company and about how Yamaguchi had become a successful businessman and had just opened up a branch overseas. They talked about the joys of their high school days together, when they would hang out with the other members of the team and the sweet victories and bitter defeats.
“Well, I wish that I could stay longer, Tsukki. But I really need to go now,” Yamaguchi spoke at one point of their conversation. He stood and pushed in his chair. That cheery smile was still present on his face. It was the same smile Tsukishima always saw back in the old days.
“Thanks for coming to visit, Yamaguchi,” Tsukishima said. He exchanged a quick hug with his best friend; the type of hug busy businessmen would do.
“I’ll miss you, Tsukki,” Yamaguchi chirped. His friend smiled.
“Yeah, I’ll miss you too,” Tsukishima replied and escorted his friend towards the exit of the estate.
At the gates, Yamaguchi got into his car, which looked quite pricey. He waved a bit towards his friend and started up the engine. A few minutes later, he drove away from the company’s complex. Tsukishima watched as the vehicle moved further away from him, and suddenly started to feel something building up inside of him. It was something bad; something he tried to avoid feeling frequently. His head started to feel light as the feelings of thirst and lust rose inside of him. It was that time of day where he needed to fulfill his need for… blood. His fangs started to sharpen and he lets out a low growl. The male’s eyes darted to and fro, scanning the building for someone good to prey on. He spots the new secretary, Mihara-san. He smirks, licks his lips, and walks up to her.
“Excuse me, Mihara-san,” Tsukishima muses, yet the young secretary seemed oblivious to his dangerous tone, “do you have a moment?”
“Well yes, what can I do for you, Tsukishima Kei-san?” the female asks with her soft smile. She was suddenly taken aback by her colleague’s sudden grasp of her wrist. “W-what are you doing?” she stutters, clearly uncomfortable on what Tsukishima was doing.
“You’ll see,” he replies cunningly and precedes to drags her into an empty storage room. Dozens of pairs of eyes trailed the two people as Mihara was clearly trying to release the tight grip from her wrist.
The door of the storage room then slams shut. There was utter silence for a few moments until a blood-curling shriek echoes the hallways. A number of employees stopped what they were doing and raced to the storage room, panic and curiosity rushing over them. The CEO, Tsukishima Akiteru, trailed behind the wave of people with some personal bodyguards beside him. Some men pushed down the door, and what they saw made not few scream and potentially faint.
There lies the corpse of Mihara Airi, with a tear in her clothing, and some deep, bloody red bite marks visible on her neck, arm, and leg. Blood splattered all over the floor and the liquid was flowing steadily towards the door. There was a hole in the window, not big enough for a human to pass through, but big enough for a specific nocturnal creature to fly through it and hide. While pandemonium traveled throughout the crowd, Akiteru clicked his tongue and sighed disapprovingly.

TSUKISHIMA: What kind of music do you enjoy?
That’s a toughie. I’m not sure what my favorite genre is, but I like pop, rock, indie, classical, and probably a bunch others I'm forgetting... Also, various anime theme songs because who am I kidding those are the ones that get stuck in my head most easily
SUGAWARA: Tell me about a time where you didn’t give up.
Last year I threw a big, drawn-out internal hissy fit over my art because I felt like it wasn't at the level it should be if I wanted to do it seriously in the future. I wanted to give up in more ways than one and it took a while for me to get out of that slump, but I did it by devoting myself to practice and forgetting about the future for a while. By the end of it, I'd gotten better and was much more confident in my art (I began posting it around then too!) I think that experience will stick with me for a while
IWAIZUMI: Do you have someone in your life that constantly annoys you?
Hahaa I can think of a few, but I’ll keep it to people who get on my nerves in a sort of endearing way, as Oikawa does to Iwa-chan. Soo, my two younger brothers with their constant life ponderings and Alhana with her stale memes.
1: Talk about the first time you watched your favorite movie.
oh gosh uh..whats my favourite movie even..OH PARANORMAN!!
The first time i watched it id already heard a lot about it on tumblr and then i finally watched it after the christmasparty two years ago at my aunts place. I stayed over there and we stayed up and watched movies and i could pick and they had paranorman!! i was completly IN LOVE.
5: Talk about the best birthday you've had.
oh dang...I don't really know!! I havent had many birthday parties.........uh..yeah no i dont really have any ideA....
8: Talk about the thing you are most proud of.
I'm proud that.....Oh, I'm actually kinda proud of the fact that im p good at english!! one time a dude from the states said i had no accent at all and that i sound very nice and i was like HECK YEAH
32: Talk about a place you remember from your childhood.
Oh oh, when I was little, I'd go to this indoor playground thing for other kid's bday parties and they had a ball pit and a tiny haunted house and ropes you could swing from and I LOVED it!!
