The Case, Part One
( Keep in mind I'm going for a Noir style.)
It was a dark night, especially by Silvermoon's standards. For the land of the Sun it hardly felt warm. It'd probably be raining, if it even -could- rain. A damned shame at that. The rain would have gone smitten with his mood. Especially for this night.
That didn't mean work wasn't going to happen. There was a perpetual need for gold, especially with his solitary habits as of late. He was alone, well mostly, then -she- came. Nothing could really have prepared him for the rest.
He invited her into the office. The door said, in nice enameled lettering, Han'theron Dawnwing, Silvermoon's PI. Office was a generous term. Really it was just one of the City's many abandoned houses worked into his needs. None the less he sat her down and offered her a drink. She declined, but he didn't. Drinking made talking come easy, he told himself. After it was time to get down into business.
'What can I do for you?'
'My daughter....'
From there things went down the proverbial shit hole. He didn't even need to get on a name basis with her. Sin'dorei children were worth their weight in gold. Every one was accounted for generally, well, not this one of course. For a dying race the youths were kept away like treasures. Everything was serious now.
With his trusty notepad he took down the usual bits. What did she look like? Where did you last see her? Would anyone want to get at you or see her gone? From there he sent the Lady on her way and left the Office. He knew where to go first.
The Kid's home.
