New Age

Life is changing rapidly. We all seem to go through hard times: illness, loss of loved ones, financial worries. The world is more and more getting disrupted: war, governments who are not doing what they say they do, companies that are not taking their social responsibilities, the Earth sighs and groans. It is worrying!

But there are also good things happening: as a people we stand by those who are in trouble, and there are companies who do take their social responsibilities seriously, we help and comfort our friends who need it. Sometimes it’s the small things that make a difference.

Especially the small things help, lift us up, give us the courage to keep going and not give up. We are all moving towards this new age, in which we all live in the same happier, safer, healthier world.

I try to see the good between the pain, sorrow and evil. When will the balance tip to the other side? I don’t know. I pray and hope it will be rather sooner than later. In the mean time it is hanging on - for us all.

Ons leven verandert snel. We maken allemaal moeilijke tijden door: ziekte, verlies van dierbaren, financiële zorgen. De wereld raakt ontwricht: oorlog, regeringen die niet doen wat ze zeggen te doen, bedrijven die hun maatschappelijke verantwoordelijkheden niet nemen. De Aarde zucht en steunt. Het is zorgelijk!

Maar er gebeuren ook goede dingen: als mensheid helpen we degenen die in de problemen zitten, en er zijn bedrijven die wel hun maatschappelijke verantwoordelijkheden serieus nemen, we helpen en steunen onze vrienden die het nodig hebben. Soms zijn het de kleine dingen die het verschil maken.

Vooral de kleine dingen helpen, slepen ons erdoorheen, geven ons de moed om door te gaan en niet op te geven. We bewegen ons naar deze nieuwe tijd, waarin we allemaal leven in een gelukkigere, veiligere en gezondere wereld.

Ik probeer het goede te zien tussen de pijn, zorgen en misstanden. Wanneer slaat de weegschaal door naar de andere kant? Ik weet het niet. Ik bid en hoop dat dat eerder dan later zal zijn. Intussen is het volhouden - voor ons allemaal.
