The art paint over Harry’s bts pictures dropped today is Sposalizio del Mar, or Marriage of the Sea ceremony.
This ancient ceremony’s - honoring Venice sea dominion over XII century- dynamic is similar to the well known and common nuptial wedding for many reasons; but this detail is really highlighting: the story tells how the Pope gave a ring to chief magistrate of Venice and established it should be repeated every year on the same date, and that is how the doge & the sea got married.
Every year this ceremony is still performed.
