Steve H.//Headcannons

Hi! Since I started school, I've been feeling less and less motivated, so I thought I'd do some headcannons for fun! Writing this was like a roller coaster, btw. Feel free to comment your own headcannons :)

Warnings: one swear, neglectful parents.

Okay first of all Steve is a babe

But now that he's become humble, he reaches maximum good guy quality.

So when girls notice that he's not with tommy and carol, they start throwing themselves at him.

And for a while he digs it.

(He hates to admit it, but he used their attention to forget about Nancy for a while)

ANYWAYS Steve finally admits to his parents (and to himself) that he doesn't want to go to college.

And no, he doesn't want to just because he failed. He never wanted to. He wasn't made for it.

(Lets just say there was a huge fight.)

He stays at Ms. Byers place for while until things can cool down.

Everyone is worried about him because he stays on her couch for a week and he's not talking and not eating.

He cried one night and Joyce comforted him, and that only made him cry harder.

Because for the first time in his life he can see how terrible his mom and dad have been to him.

Will keeps an eye on him and draws pictures at the coffee table. Jonathan even cooks him grilled cheese one night and tries to give advice on something he knows about.

One morning Steve wakes up with energy.

He drives to the police station and picks up a form.

He goes to Dustin's and lets him know he took a shower and he's alive.

He goes to the mall and buys himself a new pair of shades.

Then, he goes home and cuts the credit card his dad gave him into pieces, and leaves the remains in the dinning room.

And Steve finally has no commitment other than to himself (and the shitheads)

He buys what he wants and dresses how he wants and acts the ways he wants.

He stops playing the right music to look cool and he stops waxing his car every weekend because he always hated waking up early.

And he becomes a deputy.

And Nancy sets him up on a blind date with a nice girl with nice eyes and hair and laugh.

(He kinda falls in love overnight)

And his parents have stopped coming home. Steve doesn't bother to tell them when he was moving out.

Steve gets his life together with his girl and his boys and his career.

I just want him to be happy
