I’ve got your chapter update right here...
Yall!!! Guess what old nostalgia game I found (again)!!!!!!!
As someone with wild wavy natural hair, I feel this so painfully 😂
Btw,
Alice and Frank were not together since day one. No way.
Maybe, maybe, they dated at Hogwarts but it wasn’t even for a full year before they broke up.
They were an office romance, obviously. And they were the best aurors in the office so Moody put them together on several missions. and had their desks across from one another. Moody definitely played match maker.
at first they were just best friends but then quickly became more.
“Wake up! Wake up!!! You’re having a nightmare!” (from the basic angst prompt thing you posted blz)
I shall deliver the angst, anon!
“Beatrice…” Eamon whimpered, taking her freezing hands inhis own. Hazel eyes slid to the arrow stabbed through her abdomen. This wasn’treal, it couldn’t be. No. This…is just a nightmare!
“I’ve just got to wake up!”
Eamon began grumbling to himself, his sleeves becoming hishandkerchief.
“Wake up! Wake up! Wake up- “
He yelled to himself, everything going dark as he shut hiseyes tightly, until a sudden sharp sting on his cheek scared him senseless.
Opening his eyes, Eamon found himself in bed, screaming intothe darkness with someone standing next to him. The diminishing hand print fromwhere they had slapped him drew some of his anxiety away, but the vision hadhim frightened.
Her hand was deathly cold in his own, he had tangibly feltit! His visions had not felt that real since he was a child. There was littleto reverse the course of time in realities that clear.
He was so caught in his own horror, that the person who’dslapped him was now shaking his shoulders and that wasn’t registering to him at all.
“HEY! Wake up, Eamon! It’s me, Trice!”
Beatrice bellowed as she knelt by his side, cupping his face in her hands to make him focus. She’d never seen anyoneinconsolably sobbing because of a dream like this and it made the mage worried.
Eamon began trying to calm his hysteria, but threw his armsaround Beatrice, holding her as close as he could in the meantime. Her heartwas elevated, but it was real as it thrummed in worry against his touch.
“W-what’s going on?! Are you alright?”
She almost sounded demanding, but her tone was concernedlike that of an older sibling.
“You’re alive, Trice! You’re okay!”
He cried against her shoulder, fighting through a few moresobs. Beatrice opened her eyes wide in confusion but returned the hugawkwardly. When was the last time she had even received a hug? Asra had huggedher before a few times, she supposed, but not like this. Not like the worldcould continue spinning again from a simple touch.
Beatrice sat stunned for a few moments, unsure of what tosay in a situation like this.
His hot tears were falling onto her shoulder like smallwaterfalls, branding her skin like iron. The trembling frame beneath her wasnothing like the polite angel she was used to. Why was he like this? What waswith his exclaimed words just now? Beatrice didn’t like this compromise ofcharacter at all.
“Yeah. I’m right here. I’ve got you,Alright? I’m not going anywhere.”
It was strange to have someone care about her.Beatrice didn’t know this feeling. It was...nice; different, only she wished itwasn’t at the cost of her best friend being in such a state for her toexperience this.
Eamon slowly collected himself, at least enough that he couldspeak through his sniffling.
“I had a nightmarish vision of the potential future. I getthem sometimes and they can be glimpses of actual realities to come, but….inthis one you died, and I lost you. I don’t want it to be real! Trice, I can’tlose you! I can’t!”
She was grateful he couldn’t see her face, because unusualtears pricked at the corners of her eyes. For the first time…someone wantedher to live?
From moment one, Eamon had taken her into his circle offriendship. Protecting her from herself in more ways than she cared to admit.
Now, he needed comfort and had a sorry excuse of anunderstanding person there for help. Shutting her eyes, she willed away hertears, trying to be strong while holding him closer.
Eamon hiccuped, letting his breath hitch as he felt herstroking his hair soothingly. He’d never known she could be gentle like this, but he leaned into her embrace regardless.
“I won’t ever leave you behind, I promise. You’re the onlyfamily I’ve got, Eamon.”
Emotion choked at her tone, but she wasn’t lying; when shepromised something it was absolute. The scholar closed his eyes with a sadsmile.
“Thank you, Trice…”
