[3:59pm] After being on the school yearbook staff with Eric for two years in a row, you had formed something of a friendship together. You didn’t meet up much outside of yearbook-related activities, but the many afternoons you’d spent together in the computer lab with just the two of you turned into something you looked forward to regularly, especially as the semester drew to a close and these afternoons became longer and more frequent. Even on days when one or both of you were too busy to talk, just being in the same room together made your tasks feel less like work, and more like spending comfortable silence with a friend doing a hobby you both enjoyed.

On one such afternoon, you were busy trying to track down the names of all the members of the robotics club when he called you over to ask for your help.

“I’m working on the spread for the Christmas formal and I had to narrow down all the pictures Younghoon took,” he explained. “I think these ones are the best, but what do you think? Should I add any more?”

You looked carefully over the pictures he’d chosen, which were indeed quite good ones, but as you continued studying the pages he designed you began noticing a pattern among them.

“Eric, these are all the pictures with me in them,” you said. His eyes widened.

“Wait, really?” He scanned the pictures on his screen once more, the surprise in his tone genuine as he was clearly unaware he had done that.

“…Well, my point still stands,” he said finally. “These are the best pictures.”
