— If I were asked about my fave Filipino hero, I would say it’s Gat Jose Rizal, our National Hero. My honest reason with guilt is that I did not actually pay much attention in Philippine History class that I’ve missed the opportunity of knowing what’s written in text books about our other heroes and their significant contributions and heroisms for the Philippine independence. But I still choose Rizal because of his belief that peace and not violence should prevail for any reform to succeed. In present time, bloody war is I think way too old fashion already; that leaders should continue to make peace talks and constructive discussion to be evidently effective in settling agreements and arguments. Very idealistic right?
