Oh ok. just in case you dont know and this was a deal breaker for you (like it was for me) this is the second game in the series to make the well known permadeath feature optional. so yeah there is that
Ahhh yeah a friend told me about that, that's sorta the series's big thing going for it - it makes every fight meaningful since there's consequences to doing poorly. Yeah idk it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, it's not often video games make you think of repurcusions to your actions in the games (I hear Spec Ops: the Line did that well since it was basically a deconstruction of all those military shooters that have gotten popular lately that approach death in an incredibly impersonal manner (not the whole perma death thing but trying to get the player to actually acknowledge the gravity of what they're doing in the game is)).
I know you say kid ic is your favorite 3ds title, and Ive agreed until I got pokemon (personal bias) and and fire emblem which is SO FUN. what do you think of fire emblem hows it stack up to kid ic in terms of likability

I couldn't judge - I know it's another one of those titles for the 3DS that most people really love so I'll have to give it a shot sometime, but I've never even played a single fire emblem game myself.

Like, some of the more reasonable members of his family are in mourning though so I'd wonder if they might have a small personal one for them or something - idk the whole layout of the church but I know it's pretty much just the family itself so I wouldn't really know where church politics end and family values begins
But yeah - they excommunicated him because he started telling them they should be softer on people and less hateful of people right before he died. He was dead to them before he was literally dead to them.
