AN: I made this moodboard first, because the original story has Myeon meeting everyone in a certain order and so the planned extra chapter with these drabbles goes the other way around?? And I’ve had it in my drafts since forever hahah (*ﾉωﾉ) but I’m finally posting it! ♡ I hope you like it and that you like the drabble that comes with it~

Minseok’s vision had always been filled with snow, its whiteness and the coolness that doesn’t affect him something he'd come to both love and hate. Vague memories of happier moments and a sunnier place surfaces at times, although recently it’s been easy to push them away. After all, he knew he would never be fully accepted in his village, and so he’d left to find a place where his heart could rest. 

The castle he builds for himself is beautiful, but his steps echo too loudly throughout the empty halls and as the years go by the courage to speak slowly freezes up. Inside of him the red force places it’s curse, and when he realises it’s already too late - but the whispered promise of others with gifts like his gives him hope, and aiming to find them he ventures back out into the snow.

Luhan and Yixing are easy to find, as are Kris and Zitao, but they’re just as easily forgotten since the last one on his side remains hidden. Only when he leaves his domains to visit the warmer parts of the country he feels something akin to a pull, and by then he doesn’t stop to think about the consequences, only focusing on stopping the red force from taking what he’s just found from him.

Once again he’s too late, and since Frost is all he has he uses it to save what’s left of Jongdae, even if it hurts.

He knew from the start that Junmyeon had to be special and that they probably had more in common than he’d like to admit, but for him to follow Jongdae all the way here surprised him, and him managing to save them all surprises him even more. The puzzle was his, he’d received it as a gift from his parents who in turn had received it from a woman who passed by their village when Minseok had just been born, but neither he or anyone he’d shown it to had understood how to solve it - apart from Junmyeon, who’d done it without even trying.

Maybe he should be jealous, but all he feels is his heart coming back to life, allowing for regret to hit him with full force. He asks for time since he can’t walk into the light just yet, but his saviour had warmed his hands now, and he knew that they’d never grow cold again.
