Book review: Living Lies by Natalie Walters (Harbored Secrets #1)
One glimpse of the cover of Living Lies and I was hooked, it simply oozes suspense. I very innocently picked up Living Lies intending to just read a few chapters and the next thing I knew I had read a third of the book. Once I started reading, Living Lies was super hard to put down. I was very quickly swept up in the mystery and full of curiosity regarding Lane and Charlie's story which kept me from putting the book down.
Natalie Walter's Living Lies is easily my favorite suspense read of 2019. I’m looking forward to reading more about the cast of characters in the second Harbored Secrets book, Deadly Deceit.

Book review: Deadly Deceit (Harbored Secrets #2) by Natalie Walters
I enjoyed Living Lies the first book in the Harbored Secrets series and had high hopes that book two, Deadly Deceit, would be even better. I was disappointed. The main story was okay, nothing stands about it. It's your standard Christian romantic suspense novel with a heavy dose of superhero references thrown in on top. The book felt a little long for the plot, it easily could have been a few chapters shorter. I was really looking forward to reading more about Ryan and Vivian, unfortunately for me to just a 2.5 star read.
