I am so st*pid. Like, woah. So you've been drawing for mermay2021 and I thought that it was a you thing, like one day you woke up and decided to start drawing one piece' characters as merfork. Which made me really happy since I like the legendary/mythologic aspect of mermaids&co.

Days later I find on my feed fanart, of various fandoms, mer-themed and every time I've been thinking "oh what a coincidence DAO is drawing Merfolk too! Ahaha".

This has been going on for uh, a week?

Now, NOW I GOT IT. it's like inktober, only with mermaids and the like. And I'm st*pid.

Oh dear, how I've betrayed your trust! ＼(º □ º l|l)/ But misunderstanding this doesn't mean you're stupid!! Mermay is not a fandom tradition and it's not even that popular in the drawing community! Many artists have never heard a word about Mermay, some thought it was just a typo. XD So to compensate for this betrayal, here's a thing (I think) I really, personally, originally made back in 2018: OCTOGUST. But we never know for sure, someone somewhere might have thought the same XD

Distraction training with a “mini dog” 😉

Today in class Thyme froze when a kid on a bike rose in his direction (two of his fears combined). So I dug up something mildly alarming to practice listening when there’s something he finds worrying.

I’ll ride a bike past him tomorrow at a suitable distance for him to practice that fear. Not today though, he deserves a break ☺️
