Lovely white mountain hare from the natural history museum in Tallinn
Really dark and fluffy hare now drying on the mounting stand!
Skinning day!
Taking some extra specific measurements because you can never have too much reference
Finishing up a few mounts today, I've rebuilt the eyelids and lips with apoxy and then I painted them using the worlds worst airbrush and pan pastels. Next step is cleaning the eyes and then putting a glossy varnish on them to protect them and make them shine, and then these guys are done!
Another hare skin tanned and ready for mounting. This one was shedding so it looks a bit scruffy, but at least it has really nice ears :')
Finally built myself a simple mounting stand (two of them, even) for small shouldermounts or wall mounts. Can't wait to try it out with this hare!
