This morning, I asked the cards “What do I need to know?” I drew the Queen of Pentacles, the High Priestess and the 6 of Wands from the Bad Ass Tarot. ⭐ I need to know that my life is full of riches. It’s filled with abundance and I am surrounded by everything that I have made and created. All the opportunities in my life have come to fruition and my world is filled to the brim with good fortune. Sometimes I forget how much I have and need to be reminded that I’m so much more fortunate than others. ⭐ I need to know my truth and my spirit. I’ve been through quite the journey and it has brought me here to this moment. Sometimes, I lose sight of what I have accomplished and I need to be shown what my spirit is capable of. I need to tune into to myself and my truth and trust that spirit has my back in everything that I’m going through at the moment. My truth shines. ⭐ I need to know that I am loved. I am successful at (almost) everything that I try to do and there is so much love in my life. By living as my true self, I inspire others and make their lives a little better. I need to remember that I’ve overcome mountains before and I will do so again and I will be victorious. This morning, I asked the cards “What do I need to remember?” I drew The High Priestess, the 5 of Wands and Judgement from The Bad Ass Tarot by Harley Spencer. 🌟 I often lose sight of myself. This can happen without me realizing it and I need to stop and listen to spirit to find my path again. I need to hone in on my truth and what I bring to the world in order to find my way forward. My story has yet to be told completely, but I need to be an active participant and engage with my truth. ⭐ I also need to stop comparing myself to others. I’m always wondering if my writing or my painting could be better, if I could be more, if I could create like others when I am moved by their art or their creativity. I am myself and what I create is a gift to the world. I am not like anyone else and need to remember that. ⭐ Also, I need to stop judging myself so harshly. There is no such thing as perfection and I am lying to myself if I think there is. I often find perfection getting in the way of how I view myself. I need to let go of the idea of the perfect body and remember to embrace the one that I have. I’ve had the honour of appearing in two Tarot decks and will be appearing in another one. In the Harley Spencer Tarot, I’m on the 5 of Cups extra card and in the Tower Takeover Tarot by Kaylani Perisho, I’m the Page of Wands. In an upcoming Tarot deck by Lucy Moringstar and Theresa Reed, I’ve been made the King of Wands. It’s interesting when I look at all three cards together. They form a journey of sorts and they are three different parts of me and my journey. ⭐ The 5 of Cups shows me trying to get the old feelings out of a bottle of ketchup that’s ladled old feelings. I love what Harley Spencer has done with his card as it gives it more substance. It gives this card hope in that I can actually get rid of the feelings that I’ve been holding on to and that have been holding me back. At the time when she put me on this card, I was actually wrestling with letting go of old feelings left by an abusive relationship. ⭐ The Page of Wands shows me falling from the Tower, my Wand adrift with the fire, as I fall to the ground. What will await me when I reach the ground? Will I be able to get up and start again? I love the fact that this card reads so differently with the Tower as the backdrop. Typically, the Page of Wands is just beginning a journey of creativity and discovery. In this card, I’ve let go of my Wand and my creative spirit and have to work at getting it back. This actually happens more often than I would want, especially when it comes to self confidence. ⭐ Finally, the King of Wands shows me smiling proud with my familiars: a lion, a wolf and a salamander. The King of Wands is full of light and the wisdom with which to use that light for a greater purpose. He’s wise and knows himself and trusts in his creative spirit. He’s kind and a fair ruler, able to inspire others simply by giving into his craft and creating. ⭐ All three cards are pieces of who I am and the steps that I’ve taken to get here. This morning, I asked the cards "What magic will I create today?" I drew the High Priestess from The Harley Spencer Tarot Deck. 🌟 The High Priestess regards me with wisdom in her eyes. She is the force of creativity that runs through me and she asks me to embrace it. She is also love and self love, and she asks me to not only embrace my skills but to love what myself as well as what I do. 🌟 Loving myself can be easy if I let it. The High Priestess asks me to look within where I an filled with pure light. How can I feel I am not deserving of self love when that light within me is the most beautiful thing? 🌟 My creative spirit comes from that light and when I write or paint, it shares that light with others. This morning, I asked the cards "How will I sparkle today?" I drew The World, the Lovers and the 8 of Pentacles from The Harley Spencer Tarot Deck. What awesome cards for today! 🌈 The world shows a paradise. It is full of vegetation and there are fish swimming in the skies. The world is full of so much light and it shines so brightly. This is a harmonious body, mind and soul. It marks the end of one cycle and the beginning of another, one of growth and abundance. Much has been learned on this journey that I can take with me as I begin my new one. 🌈 The Lovers shows us that love is love. Two men are shown in an embrace and there is a rainbow behind them. This makes me think of my beautiful Husband and the love that we share between us. I love how the men in this card have their feet on the ground, showing that they are grounded and supported by each other. My Husband is my rock and he is the one who finally taught me what love is. 🌈 The 8 of Pentacles shows a woman at a typewriter. She looks down at the pages that are scattered all over her desk with an air of accomplishment. I love this card. It's about the work I love to do, giving into my craft and writing so that I can find my voice. Yes, the work is sometimes hard and unforgiving, but it is also transformative and so worthwhile. This card is asking me to give into the spirit of creation and to find pleasure in what I create. 🌈 So today, I can sparkle by celebrating the balance that I've found, the love I have and the work I do. This morning, I asked the cards "How can I grow today?" I drew the 6 of Cups from The Harley Spencer Tarot Deck. 🌈 Two children share and embrace and a quick kiss in a moment of joy. A rainbow 🌈 graces the bottom of the card and it looks as of it celebrating the moment. 🌈 This cars celebrates kindness towards other people, sharing a moment of love that beings joy. This is a reminder to embrace the joyful moments and to celebrate them. 🌈 I'm also reminded that sharing love and kindness with others is only part of it. I need to be willing to accept kindness from others, too. It's so easy for me to be kind to others, but I have difficulty accepting kindness. 🌈 Every moment of kindness, whether I am giving or receiving, is a celebration of love. This morning, I asked the cards "What do I need to let go of?" I drew the 5 of Cups from The Harley Spencer Tarot Deck. It's always a thrill to see myself on a Tarot card, as that makes the answer a lot more personal. 🍷 This card is all about letting go. I tend to hold on to emotions from the past. Thoughts of I would have, should have could have, past hurts and slights, instances where people have hurt me, etc. I don't know why they hold on, but this cards is telling me that I have to work on letting those old feelings go. 🍵 Holding on to them adds weight that I don't need in my life. These are the opinions of people that no longer matter or situations that were more than a decade or two ago. Why am I holding on to them? What could they possibly bring to my life except more pain and more unhappiness. Those old feelings are what I have been judging myself against for so long. ☕ Well, I'm just going to throw the whole ketchup bottle out. I will look at these feelings today and see them for what they are and learn what they had to teach me one final time before I finally say goodbye to them. When I let go of them, that will leave me open to new emotions and new feelings that have needed the space to breathe. This morning, I asked thr cards "How do I celebrate the day?" I drew Strength from The Harley Spencer Tarot Deck. What a gorgeous card for today! 🦁 A woman holds a lion in a loving embrace. There is so much affection here. The lion is our wild side, our courage and our strength. When I look at this card, I'm reminded to celebrate by having the courage to love all of myself, even the parts that are wild and untamed. Those parts are carefree and passionate. 🦁 This card is about being brave enough to love myself completely, to recognize the untamed parts of me and to love them unconditionally along with the parts of me that are more polished.
