This morning, I asked the cards "How do I celebrate the day?" I drew Fortitude, The 8 of Pentacles and the 6 of Swords from the Star Spinner Tarot. What beautiful cards for today! 🌟 Fortitude, or Strength, shows me a woman and a lion walking side by side. One does not tame the other, but rather they have formed a bond that can't be broken. The woman holds a white flower in the palm of one of her hands and they both look towards the future and what it will bring. This card symbolizes self love and being courageous enough to love myself. Often times, it's the most difficult thing to do. 🌟 The 8 of Pentacles shows me a man working on his craft, the clocks behind him being his work and his passion. I'm being asked to celebrate the day by working on my craft and giving into my passions. The man in the card doesn't create because he has to, he does so because he *needs* to. I feel the same about my writing and my painting. When I create, I am able to find myself and find my voice. I am celebrating today by creating. 🌟 The 6 of Swords shows a woman and a child riding away from strife. The ferryman will take them to safety. They are travelling under the light of the moon across calm waters. This card is letting me know that I am leaving behind mental strife and difficulty for calmer waters and different thoughts. This morning, I asked the cards "How do I embrace what is joyous in my life?" I drew the 8 of Pentacles from The Wild Unknown Tarot. 💮 I drew the 8 of Pentacles. This spider spins a web not because he wants to, but because he is driven to do so. It is instinct and drive that call it to do so. This card is all about the drive of a creative endeavour and the need to create, the joy to be found within it. 💮 Sometimes, I forget what joy is and what I have to be joyful about. It gets buried under all of the other stuff and can get lost among it. There is joy that surrounds me, much like the web surrounds the spider. It created the web and I must pay attention to the joy and happiness that surrounds me. 💮 I can't forget that one of the greatest magics in the world is the sound of laughter and the feeling of joy as it takes shape. This morning, I asked the cards "What magic will I create today?" I drew the High Priestess from The Harley Spencer Tarot Deck. 🌟 The High Priestess regards me with wisdom in her eyes. She is the force of creativity that runs through me and she asks me to embrace it. She is also love and self love, and she asks me to not only embrace my skills but to love what myself as well as what I do. 🌟 Loving myself can be easy if I let it. The High Priestess asks me to look within where I an filled with pure light. How can I feel I am not deserving of self love when that light within me is the most beautiful thing? 🌟 My creative spirit comes from that light and when I write or paint, it shares that light with others. Having one of my novels rejected always leaves me a little shaken. So this morning, I asked the cards "How do I remember my worth?" I pulled the Queen of Wands from The Tarot of the Divine. 🔥 She is Pele, mighty Goddess. She is creativity and force, nurture and destruction. She does away with what no longer fuels her or gives her much needed nourishment. She is grace and bestows kindness on others and the people around her but can be a force to be reckoned with if crossed. 🔥 Her creative force can sometimes explode onto the page like a volcano, but other times, she is the vegetation that grows around her, the trees and the flowers. She enriches everything and everything comes from her. Pele is reminding me that I have worlds within me, that I have to honour my creative flow and honour myself in the process. 🔥 A Goddess doesn't let anything stand in her way. She keeps going, she keeps growing. This Queen (me!) brings so much to the world, so much light. I have to remember that I am a creative force that shines brightly and sparkles. I do not let setbacks determine my worth. I drew Soul on Fire, The Edge of Evolution Feels Messy and What Do You Really Want from The Sacred Creators Oracle. ✨ When I look at these cards I'm reminded that I am always evolving into who I am meant to be.
