Most of the time, Chuck was fine with this place. He’d gotten used to being trapped here, like an animal in a cage. But some days were way harder than others, and today was one of those days. He didn’t have enough space here, in this one city. It was hard to find somewhere here that he hadn’t already been. He’d teleported all over D.C., desperate for a change of scenery. And today, he decided to sit in the park to do some old-fashioned writing by hand. He tapped the end of his pen on his notebook, and stared at his scrawled notes. Writer’s block was a real bitch lately.

When a shadow fell across the grass as someone walked past, he looked up sharply. “D’you ever feel like everything’s been written?” he asked, squinting into the sunlight. “Like... there’s really no such thing as an original idea anymore, y’know?”

there was so much to take in at this place, and so many different people around that she didn’t even know where to start. this was the sort of event that she enjoyed, so much activity and so many people having a good time, the crowds giving her some sort of comfort. turning to step away from the dance floor, she didn’t realize there was someone standing behind her. “oh my gosh, i’m so sorry. are you alright?” / @harmonyxvengeance​

he had in truth been eyeing the items. there wasn’t much ciel was looking forward to with the gala. he had been to plenty events like this back home, even if the time was different, and they all really just existed for posturing and image. of course that’s why he was there as well, so he was in no place to judge. he did so all the same. he stood straight, slightly platformed shoes adding to his height as he eyed the auction items. he would have to get at least one, it would only be proper that way. “i should have paid someone to come along with me and look over the art.” he said with a sigh. “clearly they invited just about anyone to this thing. i wouldn’t be surprised if they’re trying to sell knock-offs as well.”

“Mind where you walk, you pathetic, weak midgardian.” Loki hissed through gritted teeth. He had held it together pretty well until now but there were too many around him for his comfort. Even in Asgard during the events Loki would stick to the side, observing but not participating. Here somehow he was in the middle of it. He was not in the mood for any of this and even less for for getting crashed into.
