Hi! I have a lore question. How is the lgbt community viewed in your game? By that I mean, for example, is there still problems with discrimination based on gender identity / sexuality? Things like that.
For the most part, the LGBT community is accepted by and large and is a normal part of people’s lives. There are a few alien cultures that look down on transgendered and nonbinary people of their kind, however, like the Harpii. Much of Harpii culture is dependent upon the gender that the Harpii was born with, as they are a matriarchal society and view their men to be a sort of subclass of people. Transgendered and nonbinary Harpii have a hard time finding acceptance, and are treated like the men- working as scribes, scientists, servants to the crown.
These Harpii have often found allies with the Kal’Morra, who promote these changes freely and openly. Kal’Morra culture involves the reverence of the tides, and the tides are meant to invoke change, to move freely from one form of existence to the next. The Kal’Morra find this belief of a “mono-gender” of sorts from the Harpii to be particularly barbaric, as they are “stemming the tides”- in other words, not allowing change for those who need it.
The Harpii are a matriarchal society that is composed of bird people. Not unlike the Harpy from Greek myth, the Harpii have characteristics similar to that of a bird, though it depends upon the strength of the genes and bipedalism.
The Harpii are not to be messed with. In the past, they’d been known for conquering nations and torching empires. All Harpii, to some degree, share a kindred in blood lust. The Harpii are often known for being ruthless and cruel in combat, entering a haze where they seem wholly unaffected by any strikes to their body, not stopping until their body quite literally cannot function anymore, or until they win.
The Harpii value the battlefield. They value victory. They value honor, respect. They do not, however, value the arts or sciences. It is a sign of being weak minded and weak willed, and the task of cataloguing history is given to the men, as the men (as rare in this society and race as they are) are frail and weaker than female Harpii physically.
Harpii conception
Harpii have a wide variety of looks depending on how the Harpii were conceived.
-Male/Female Harpii tend to be bipedal, have a smaller physique, and less feathers.
-Female/Female Harpii are a wildcard depending on the genetic background of each Harpii. If there is one female Harpii that has a male in their lineage, then the F/F Harpii baby is going to be bipedal and have average features- Feathers, talons, razor teeth.
-F/F Harpii babies that are “pure” and have pretty much not been tainted by any 'male' Harpii are going to be the most bird-like, going so far as to having wings and some having a beak form instead of a mouth. Their talons will be much larger than the average F/F Harpii, and are overall more aggressive in attitude.
- Harpii cannot conceive with other species, male or female. This is due to how the Harpii child develops in the womb.
- Harpii born in the wrong bodies, i.e, male to female, female to male, and neither, are looked down upon in the Harpii culture. Harpii culture is very puritan, and sticks to its tradition of honoring female warriors (and their strong bloodlines) heavily. These Harpii are often referred to as "oulued sláoí", literally meaning "of another kind" in Haerp. It is not unheard of that these Harpii are often forced into servitude with the men, a strictly "unfeminine" profession to the Harpii culture.
Harpii Relations
The Harpii and Kal’Morra are known to be sworn enemies, having waged many battles and wars over hundreds of (near thousand) years of each civilization's existence.
The Harpii have a reigning empress, the Síalsiavs, and the Harpii have an empire that spans across many tribes. The Kal’Morra were oftentimes forced to give up land or were killed as the Harpii expanded, this led to war.
Due to their lack of respect for scientific research and knowledge, it should be noted that it wasn’t until very recently did the Harpii discover space travel. It is, compared to that of humans or Kal'Morra, archaic. Harpii ships are not very reliable, and are slow. Harpii care little of the outside universe and are warhawkish in their relations with most, if not all, civilizations.

This little petblood has attempted on her life a couple times, always being stopped one way or another. She says it's only a matter of time until her heart gives out, considering she's extremely skittish and easily scared into fainting. Her quirk is a ':B' prefix along with the occasional rabbit pun. Like 'I carrot see why you dislike the color purple.' Dyhlie White blooded Dove theme 9 sweeps Dyhlie is a quiet petblood with peaceable intentions. She is strong willed, but a lot more passive about it. This little dove is very mothering and can be affectionate. She'll often times look after her owner instead of the other way around. Dyhlie sings in her spare time, cleaning and making sure the hive is in proper conditions. She's very intelligent for a petblood, using that to her advantage in a way to get out of meeting distasteful trolls.
