Hello and Welcome!

Hello, my name is Renny! This tumblr blog has been months in the making, but I’ve finally decided to start it! Welcome to Ophiuchus Interactive, a blog dedicated to my journey through creating Choicescript games!

I’m new to Choicescript, but excited that something like this exists! I used to write WWYFFs and I’ve decided to turn those quizzes into the reality I’ve always wanted them in!

THE WASTES ARE NO PLACE TO CALL HOME

Life out in The Wastes is harsh and cruel. Law means nothing anything west of the Rima Hadley River, and the only form of justice to be found was at the end of one’s own gun. 

You pickpocketed, robbed, cheated, and schemed your way through life with your partner in crime, Yoshie. Through thick and thin, the two of you had been through it all since the death of your parents twelve years ago.

Upon receiving a contract from a mysterious benefactor, you and Yoshie decide to take it- to make this train robbery the last, great heist you ever do. The payment, the opportunity to leave...it all seemed there, right in the cards. 

But it wasn’t. 

After spending your entire life running away from the law, you’re now forced to join it when the train robbery goes terribly wrong. Being recruited by the crew of the Cheyenne, you set out on a quest for vengeance, treasure, and to take down the gang responsible for turning your life upside down: The Regulators.

The Frostbite Writers

Dust Writers

It's hard to combine air and earth, and you are the proof that impossible is just a word. You mix the patience behind the creation of long stories, with the lightness of air, and its force. Storm Writers

Writers of the storm, the rain, and the snow. Angst is your element. You mastered the art of making it hurt, in every way. That quiet hurt of a smile on a crying face. Your words whisper to the lonely ones that they’re not alone. You are able to show your readers a universe where everything’s okay, and even if it hurts it’s okay, because being sad is a feeling that deserves to be felt. Yells against the dark of the night. Screams of rage and hurt, tears running down soft cheeks and white knuckles. You are there, screaming with them. Angry at the unfairness, and fighting it, in the first place it attacks you. In the heart. And you’re the hand, offered to the hopeless. With a delicate smile on your lips, you help people stand up again. The storm writer, the one who knows how it feels, to be screaming in the void, and doesn’t want anyone else to live it too. You are the storm writer, but you’re able to build beautiful reigns of ice and snow, and offer comfort to the ones who seek it.

I know it is your decision dear author and the people decided that four species is enough, i just wanted to ask why you choose to add these four species, sincse there are two elves, i find it kinda repeatable(i may also be a bit biased since i am really sad about the pheonix missing)

I am also not trying to sound disrispectful, it is just, we got the human, then two elves(wouldn't one be enough) and then such an exclusive species like the baharatch?

Hey anon,

I know the couple missing species is sad to hear, along with not being able to play as a species you want, but the others just wouldn't work if the MC could be any other species than the four that are chosen.

The human and Baharatach are kind of self-explanatory. The two elf choices? There's quite a few reasons as to why you can choose between them.

1. Silvermoon and winged elves are very plot focused. They are key points in the main plot. (Along with the angels of course, but being one of them is too spoilery.) With the MC being kept in the dark and having to find who they truly are during the series, it makes the most sense to me to have them be one of these two elves.

2. The other options didn't necessarily have that. Now, if people wanted more than four, I would have made it work, but they wouldn't have any significance to the main story. I want almost anything to have an effect in Legend, not just for it to be there.

3. The other species are just for worldbuilding purposes. Yes, you will meet some during Legend, and there might be a couple of instances where they help the characters with their tasks, but they aren't important to the plot.

4. I like elves lol.

I've had a lot of real-life stuff happen, which took most of my time away from writing and planning, but I'm back!

I plan on having about four to five chapters added to this one. It'll be a large chunk, considering how much I have written and how much I'd like to put out due to the length of time from my last update to this one.

Hi, hun!!

I just finished playing the demo...it is nearly 3 am for me and I have class in like 4??? hours...welp, totally worth it 😎

I am so emotional rn, it's wild. That was such a good read!!! The world and the characters you've created feel so real, especially MC! I'm already attached to all of the ROs (yes, even ???, that dream sequence broke my already aching heart) and according to my stats, I'm well on my way to sweeping the emperor of my heart off of his feet 🥺 (15% bb, and all entirely by accident too lmao)

Real talk tho, this is gonna live rent free in my head for the next month at the very least. The whole demo felt so vivid and the emotions so visceral, I'm literally reeling. It's been a while since I've been immersed in something so utterly and completely (not to mention this quickly!)

The plight of the Shan people in Hae, the fighting between the tribes and the kingdom, the internal strife of the MC, the pain of rebuilding in a home that rejects you while struggling with the fraying ties of a land that haunts your memories like a ghost begging, pleading for you not to turn your back on it, not to sever the connection, not to forget but to remember, to please remember— Who's crying, I'm not crying- You're crying (it's me😔 ive been sobbing this entire time 😭🤡)

All this to say this is an absolutely amazing story you've got here and I can't wait to read more! It would honestly make such a good kdrama, I've been imagining it as one as I read this whole time! 😂

In conclusion: Hansol is my bro, my bestie, my ride-or-die, I will tease Insu until the breath leaves my body, I would do literally anything for Yonsun, Emperor of Hae and ruler of my heart and soul (long may he reign), I can't wait to give ??? all the love and affection they've missed out on in all these years, and if anyone hurts sweet Eunseo or any of my Samjogo boys, I can and will be throwing hands 😤

A hand curls around your jaw, a thumb touch your lips. The index rubs lightly down your skin, a shiver working it's way down your spine.

Hazel eyes meets yours, a face so near you can feel cool breath from parted lips on your own. Your chest stills, your body frozen. Her free hand grips your wrist, squeezing tight, and you know her fingers will leave a bruise.

A mark.

You wince at the hold, the grip. She smiles.

"Too tight?" She coos, voice mockingly sweet and a tremble courses through your body, memories resurfacing of times similar events.

You can't move.

You can't respond.

She does.

Her head tilts to the right, a shine of something sinister in her eye. "I can let you go, if you want? You just need to do something for me."

The hand that was curled around your jaw moves downward, her thumb dragging down your cheek. You suck in a breath and you swear you hear her chuckle underneath her breath.

Goosebumps rise on your skin, your body so tightly coiled your muscles begin to ache.

You feel slender fingers wrap around your throat, the thumb tapping your pulse.

She does laugh this time.

"Scared?"

A squeeze.

You close your eyes, your free hand gripping her wrist. "Please," you murmur, voice hoarse and raw. "Please stop."

Another squeeze.

She hums, letting your captive wrist free. "Say you're mine," she grits out, her now free hand tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.

God.

Another squeeze on your throat.

"No," you croak.

Her fingers tighten, air coming harder into your lungs. Tears rise to the surface, buf you won't let them fall. "Say it."

You won't give her the satisfaction. You won't admit it.

Because you're not.

You're not hers.

You never were.

You never will be.

"I'm not yours."

And all she does is smile. All teeth and no warmth, lips stretched into something wicked.

Hawkeye isn’t going to be showing up in the game for I while I know but…I love them your honor. 10/10 would gently cup cheek while kissing.

Okay, important info I can't find a full answer on: crew's cooking skills. Who's the best, who's the worst? And who's down to cook with MC? (And who sucks at cooking but is willing to learn if MC is willing to teach them? And who's an absolute lost cause despite their best efforts?)

Peter, Sergio, and Rosie are all pretty good at cooking. I would say it's Sergio-> Peter -> Rosie, in that order.

Valerian can cook in a pinch, but don't expect anything special. Hawkeye is about the same but it's manageable. Javier is better at baking, can't really cook that well. Thane cooks everything on char, so it'll be cooked through but rather inedible. Ophelia's cooking as on par with Thane's only it'll taste bland or overly salty. Hope can't cook at all.

So, the full list goes:

Sergio (Best) - Sergio is a bit insane when it comes to the kitchen. He's the chef. He'll teach you the basics, but don't expect having a cooking date anytime soon. Peter - He'd love cooking with you! Great way to bond. Rosie- Another great way to bond- but she'd get a little lost being so focused on you. Valerian- Wouldn't mind a hand, Valerian can't really focus on cooking for too long anyway. Hawkeye (Okay)- Wouldn't want lessons, not because they're offended but because they couldn't care. They're far too interested in you when you're around to care about any "lessons" you wanna give, anyway. Javier- Please help and also kiss the cook haha no babe stop where are you goin- Thane- "What do you mean i dont have to cook everything to well done?" Ophelia- Do not pass go. Do not collect 200. Run. Hope- Would love to be taught but they can't really eat anyway so it's a weird in between. You're better off just getting them to try foods instead!
