"My brain is the key that sets me free" ⛓🗝⛓ Thinking of Houdini, like I do every year on this day. This serie of pictures was actually taken in the McCord Museum of Montreal, the very place where Harry was fatally injured on Halloween Night many moons ago. I had no idea that this exhibition ("Illusions, the art of Magic") would grant me such a tremendous experience and allow me to stand next to such memorabilia. Even better than a dream came true, as I had no idea that such an exhibition was happening there when we planned to go see the native collections situated just a floor bellow. Harry Houdini means a lot to me, as you may or may not know. The name under the pyramids comes from a short story ghost-written by H.P Lovecraft for Harry Houdini … two favourite artists of mine. It was first published in the Summer 1924 issue of Weird Tales and is also known as Imprisoned with the Pharaos. Shortly before his death, Houdini made a pact with Bess that if he could, he would return and make contact with her from the other side. They devised a coded message that only he and Bess knew; this would prove that it really was Houdini breaking through from the afterlife.
