katlyn!!!!! hi!!! thank you so much, i don’t think i’ve received an ask in literal years. 1. i was pretty much born a packers fan because my granny was born in green bay and raised my mom, my brother, and i to be packers fans. 2. yes!!! i remember when he wore that packers blanket and got his packers tattoo (2013 i believe) and i was so excited and proud that we were fans of the same team. 3. oh my goodness what a question. my favorite piece of harry’s clothing of all time has to be his lavender sweater. it just looks so cute and cozy and it looked SO GOOD with the headscarf and i would kill to see that sweater again with his long hair. thanks again for the ask, ily!!

trope thing: soulmates and space!

Nobody realized that their random birthmarks and moles and freckle constellations were soulmate marks until the first alien contact was made and the moles on the neck of the ambassador lit up to match the color of one of the alien’s otherworldly eyes. Human-human couples didn’t have the same reaction (their marks didn’t change color, though some people reported a funny tingle when they’d first met their partner), but for the alien race it was a given. 

Louis is a cultural attache traveling aboard the alien ship to promote relations between their new interplanetary neighbors and the people of earth. He’s never bought into the idea of soulmates, so when someone tells him that the freckles on his face are nearly glowing green, he doesn’t want to believe them. And then his gaze falls on Harry, whose eyes are shining back at him, and he knows he’s done for. 

It’s not easy, though. While Harry is all in for soul mates, Louis is still full of doubts, worrying that their differences are too great to allow the two of them to really be together. Fortunately, space is big and traveling to Harry’s home planet takes a while, so in spite of their fights (about food, personal space, sleep habits, and more), their soul bond really is strong enough to help them overcome their differences and learn to love one another truly and deeply.

Also literally as I was writing the last sentence I realized this prompt/mash up would be a great Larry/Steven Universe crossover with girl direction/rupphire, where Harry is Sapphire and Louis is Ruby. Harry can see the future, and her gift is prized among her people. Louis is meant to be there as her servant, but when she’s able to give Sapphire her first surprise ever, the two of them realize they may have found something more. 

On the run from the gems who’d have them shattered for their love and their desire to fuse, they stumble upon a group of gems who can help them. But can they truly say goodbye to space? To their homeworld? Love is confusing. But it feels so good.
