TLG Holly smells like grass and citrus... the scene that you are......

HUGE fan of the scene where artemis watches holly die in TLC and then brings her back to life without ever again mentioning it. it's an incredible parallel to holly having to watch artemis die in TLG. the resurrection does not remedy the death; this is a theme that comes up in AF time and time again, in these scenes and with butler's death in TEC, even with artemis i and angeline. but anyway when it comes to holly and artemis specifically: each of them overriding their grief to solve the other's death, especially artemis who does not have the time to pause to think about it bc if his timing is off by even a millisecond holly will die for real, but then living with this trauma as if it never even occurred, there's so many layers to this. what place does grief have if the dead person is no longer dead? it brings up a lot of questions around time and memory and trauma.

I'm in a Artemis fowl renaissance and thinking a lot about the books again

On the topic of Hartemis. I think there was a time where Artemis was in love with Holly. But Holly was never in love with Artemis.

I don't think they should be together but there were definitely feelings on Artemis side.

I think Orion is Artemis repressed feelings, his love and fascination for magical things, his heroic side and his feelings for holly but turned up 1000%

I don't think he should ever date Holly but he should be honest at least to himself about these feelings.

He also should be honest about having a romantic side
