Making this Blog our space!
Well, it's been one week since I kicked this blog off. And it's gotten more traction than I expected. I wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you and your support. Moving forward, I wanted to set an outline for what I want this blog to become and how I want to grow within it.
Goal 1: Three posts per week!
These posts will be somewhat consistent so that that way there is a flow to the blog and the things that are posted. The first post will be a tutorial or informational post. This can consist of information on a type of stitch or style of knitting, information on a culture and their knitting style, or even information about yarn or a yarn shop. If there are any products or questions that you'd like my input on, please ask away.
The second post will always be a work-in-progress post and will happen on Wednesdays! This is a pretty classic knitting blog set up; however, I want to create a space where I'm sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly of my work. With that, I want to encourage you to share as well.
The third post of the week will be a hot take of sorts. This may be an opinion on something happening in the knitting community, or something that I've learned about myself over the years.
Goal 2: Make information easily accessible!
I learned how to knit in the early 2000s. We didn't have access to the internet, and I was often stuck and confused about what I was doing. Now the internet and the phone exist! Having such a great resource at our fingertips has changed the way I knit and learn. I'm constantly looking up tips and tricks and learning new things, and as I find things, I want to share those things with others.
Goal 3: Grow!
The main goal of this blog is to grow an online community. I want to build a relationship of trust where people feel that they can ask questions or submit posts to be featured. If you want to grab my attention, feel free to put my username in the hashtags. I'll find you!
I will come back every couple of months and revisit these goals based on my experiences and hopefully your suggestions! So grab a cup of tea, your favorite skein, and settle in. Whether you’ve been stitching for years or are just picking up your first pair of needles, we have the opportunity to grow together. Let’s build a little community where creativity flows freely, and every project tells a story.
Thanks for stopping by—let’s knit something wonderful together! My ask box is always open! Feel free to drop a comment.
