Here are some of the sturgeon photos I promised from ages ago. This was at the Bonneville hatchery where they house Herman the sturgeon. He's proported to be 90 years old and 14ft long, but it's a title now and the one we saw wasn't the same fish as the original Herman. But the fish we saw WAS between 80-90 years old due to his size, according to his caretakers.

He's the big pale fellow in the far back of the pool. I'm his biggest fan istg. I got so much merch after crying like a baby at the joy of seeing these amazing fish.

... did they know? did they know what that term means. kind of maybe really something you shouldn't be naming your dragon pair after. if I stumbled across an active lair with that pair I'd be reporting it so fast 😭

Huh, so a week ago i coincidentally came across two dragons that would make an excellent breeding pair by giving one flaunt and one flare. But i came across a hatchery yesterday with the same color flaunt and flare breeding pair. Im not sure what to do, id feel bad selling these now because somebody else has some set up, but they worked so well and I already used my genes on them :( does anybody know what I should do? Ive already lost track of whoever it was doing this first but should i sell these hatchlings or just sell one of the two and stop this all together? aaa id really like advice if anybody knows what to do :(

The growing fish hatchery and farm fish industries were developed under the intentions of repopulating overfished salmon species despite making changes to hydro-dams, habitat restoration policies, etc. The results are dwindling salmon populations despite millions of dollars being thrown into fish farms and hatcheries due to genetic regression from wild salmon mating with farmed salmon and wild salmon having to compete with farmed salmon that are not native to the area. The solution?
