Been getting caught up lately in stopping myself from making art or writing something if it's stupid or silly or otherwise not profound and it literally goes against the type of media I enjoy. I love when people put their whole efforts and spirits into something even if it's extremely silly or weird and I love when people put out their heartfelt emotions, "profound" or revelatory or not.

I hate that I care so much abt one stupid old white man's opinion of my work when there are quite a few younger ppl who enjoy my poetry 🥲 lately I just keep stopping myself from doing anything in fear that it's not good enough or smart enough or artistic enough. It's frustrating but I can't stop myself from doing it 🙃
