I feel like I've missed a lot of good work the past two weeks due to inactivity and my job being overwhelming, so please, feel free to tag me on all the cool HL stuff y'all have posted.

And if you've left requests in my inbox, I swear I've not abandoned you, I just haven't had much time to write. BUT it is Friday, the weather is improving where I live, I have Taco Bell, and most importantly, I have the afternoon off work to write.

Is there something wrong with me that I can’t seem to stand working a 9-5 job or really any type of shift work job?

Like I feel okay for a year and a bit, then i slowly start to resent my workplace and get worn out, stressed and miserable to the point where i wanna off myself. But then i see people working these jobs and it’s like no problem for them. But I absolutely hate it. what’s wrong with me??? 

I would like to think that maybe if I got paid a decent, livable wage then maybe I could justify working in shitty environments but that’s not the case either cause I was getting paid $20/hr and still miserable. (Not saying that’s a livable wage but better than what I’m getting now.)

It’s like if I’m going to be broke and miserable at a job I hate, then at least I’ll just be broke but at least I’ll be happy doing something I’ll like ?? Maybe money can come after??? Maybe???

But I feel like I'd rather die than have to work anymore. I'd rather not bother if the next 30 years of my life is having to wake up and drag my ass to an office. Just don't want to do it anymore. Fucking hate it.

yall one of my coworkers (who is in her 40s) left the work gc the other day and just came back to send like 6 paragraphs talking about how the team has no accountability and all this stuff. im not upset at the things she was saying, since its true. theres mostly 18-24 year olds working at my job and yeah they can be lazy at times but i feel like its redundant to talk about what ppl do wrong when ur not even able to call them out by name. she was calling out the supervisors too and all that on it.

its just annoying to me, cause the conclusion was essentially "pls dont make me quit and shape up guys❤️" when like... girl just quit? u will be replaced. shes a barista just like me and she refuses to be shift leader, so just keep your head down and do your job.

and also some new guy apparently said some ugly shit to some of the girls at my store calling them "seasoned" as in having been with multiple men, and then said "no one wants a virgin" which is so weird and inappropriate especially bc one of the girls is 20 and hes like 26. boss SUPPOSEDLY isnt doing anything and now the two girls wrote reports on him, which would be his 4th report within the 8 weeks he became manager.
