Had a dream where it was just cannon for Malcolm to wear around a little hat, but not just any hat, it was specifically the type of plastic firemans hat you would get on your school's fire safety day. Also if Malcolm wasn't wearing the hat he was randomly more reckless, and apparently the team all carried around a spare for if he lost the hat because in the dream he lost the hat and ran over to JT and told him he needed a new hat and JT pulled a new one out of nowhere and put on his head and patted it and said "it protects you, right?" And then Malcolm nodded and ran off. Anyway it's 7am and I'm sure my day will only go downhill from here.

Hair turbans!

My turbie twists are wearing out, and cotton jersey is better for curls than terrycloth, so I decided to bust out my serger and make myself some new ones.

Adult 100% cotton tees were $2 each at Michaels so I grabbed 3 size medium (large might have been better but I think they're ok) and laid my old turbie on top to trace.

Pinned an elastic loop between the layers. I actually pinned it on the outside of the first one, and then was very surprised when the serger cut it off. I clearly wasn't awake yet.

Aaaand sew up the back:

My serger should be named Crowley because it Goes Too Fast that's my only Good Omens post ever you're welcome. But seriously, I jammed a pin in it when I didn't yank it out quickly enough.

I just serged the edge instead of making an actual hem

My serger still has the multicolored thread it came with to teach you how to thread it, a project I was not yet willing to undertake.

Anyway, here we are!
