R.L. Stine on Tubi

In an earlier post I mentioned that Scholastic's YouTube channel is uploading full length episodes of Goosebumps.

If you can't wait for the Goosebumps series, all 4 seasons are on Tubi!

The Nightmare Room is from 2002 and only lasted one season with 13 episodes. Based on the book collection with the same title, it was more teen-centric and featured Y2K stars from So Weird's Cara DeLizia to The Jersey's Jermaine Williams to Brenda Song and the Sprouse twins. Even Keiko Agena of Gilmore Girls is in two episodes.

The Haunting Hour (in Spanish) is also on Tubi.

While rated TV-PG and shown with a disclaimer for children under 7, one could argue it's closer to PG-13 because the endings are much darker than its predecessors.

Fan consensus is that the first two seasons are the best. Several So Weird (minor) cast members appear throughout the episodes.

Tubi is also the home of a full-length R.L. Stine movie. Pumpkinhead is based on the fan favorite Haunting Hour episodes Pumpkinhead (s2e5) and Return of the Pumpkinheads (s4e5).

After moving to rural Redhaven, Finn disappears while trying to return a pumpkin his brother stole. Now on a quest to get his brother back, Sam must break the curse where "the harvest never ends".

Tubi is free and no log-in credentials are required to watch.

I just finished R.L. Stine's Pumpkinhead. The ending is very cruel, which is common in this kind of story, but my problem is that it doesn't make sense and thus seems like forced cruelty. (Spoilers below the cut.)

The problem is that once they start reversing the spell, everybody remembers the kids who've been sacrificed. So why is Sam the one exception, once the spell is fully reversed and he wasn't even fully sacrificed?

(Incidentally, if the amnesia happens before the sacrifice is even complete, does this mean Becka's dad somehow forgot Sam as he was sacrificing him?)

And seriously: the mom knows that she magically forgot her son Finn, and then once she gets him back, another kid comes up and acts horrified that they can't remember him, and they just...shrug and drive away? Bitch, you should be able to put two and two together here. At least Finn has the excuse of not knowing about the amnesia part of the spell.
