Just thought of the worst possible way I could start AUV 10 since I’ve got AUV 9 done and posted INSTEAD have the Forsaken roleswap that I was talking about earlier but decided not to do because it made MY brain hurt(wrote this listening to Guns for Hire)

The Guardian knows that Cayde is going to let them out of his sightafter this, but they can think about that later.

All they really want to know is where these fallen keep coming from and they get yanked back from a Baron grabbing their hood-

Cayde is racing down the tunnel going after this idiot who pulled a move that was so like him that it should be illegal and he now understands why Zavala complains about them being reckless all the time-

“I can’t feel their light anymore!” Sundance says, panicking just as much as he is.

“What does that even mean-“

There’s an explosion of light and it’s so big that it makes the entire building shake-

No.

Not again.

The Guardian is dying.

They can feel it, and they are relieved. They didn’t want to be in a world that Ghost wasn’t in for long anyway.

Maybe long enough to take out Uldren and the Barons but this is betters

They can hear footsteps but they can’t open their eyes to see who it is-

They are in a field of flowers, and then they are back in the Prison of Elders, watching over their own body.

They are watching as Cayde gets to their body and they watch him fall to his knees. They didn’t even notice but Uldren is still watching and they see Cayde raise his gun to start shooting him after Uldren says something but the Corrupted Prince leaves before Cayde can shoot him.

They can briefly feel him (his Light searching through their body, trying to find a way to bring them back.)

The Guardian hears the cry of a Hawk and they give one last look at Cayde before leaving and returning to the field of flowers once more.

(The Guardian wakes up in their ship feeling like their missing something important.

They don’t know what but something about the Prison of Elders is making them uneasy.

They shrug and transmat into the Prison.)
