Today's brand new Dietz Dolls pinup artwork is a tribute to Coca-Cola in the 1950s with this 'Heat Wave' themed Coca-Cola Ad. For decades, the Coca-Cola Company actually fought against the nickname "Coke," even running ad campaigns urging customers to "ask for Coca-Cola by its full name." However, pop culture proved too powerful, and by 1945, the company officially relented and trademarked the snappy shorthand. Moving into the 1950s, the brand completely shifted gears, launching aggressive marketing campaigns designed to make consumers comfortable using both names interchangeably.

Today's brand new pinup artwork is another 'what if' crossover… What if Bill Randall painted pinup girls for Coca-Cola in the early 1950s? While Haddon Sundblom and Gil Elvgren are best known for being Coca-Cola advertisement artists of the 40s and 50s, I've often wondered what other famous pinup artists of the time would have done had Coca-Cola went to them. I'd love to experiment more with this with Vargas and George Petty doing Coca-Cola pinups.

Today's vintage style pinup art is another Coca Cola tribute based on the 1940s style of Haddon Sundblom. Haddon was one of the main artists for Coca Cola in the 1940s, creating most of the classic Coca Cola Girl advertisements that are now iconic. He's also often credited with the modern day refined look of Santa Claus that he created for the Coca Cola company.
