3 ridiculous things said to me and Kandace at the hospital waiting for Logan to be born that were really telling about their thoughts about me, her, and our situation.

1: "Do either of you have any children in your family born with blood disorders, mental disorders, mental retardation, or Autism?"

My answer: "I'm Autistic..."

Their response: d@_@b

2: "So...Is thing going to be like an adoption thing?"

Kandace's Response: "Uh...No. This was planned. And we are keeping him."

Their response: "Oh ok. Good..."

3: "So is the boyfriend daddy?"

Kandace's answer: This is my husband...

Their response: "Oh good that makes it easier."

My response: "uh huh..."

EVIE- “Why is my heart racing?....What are you doing Doctor...?? Is everything okay?”

DOCTOR- “Everything is fine, Mrs. Marchand. Just a few more minutes and we will have a bay, your heart rte is normal, well for giving birth anyway.”

EVIE- “it’s just I am not really due for another week, is it to soon?”

DOCTOR- “Babies came when they are ready, and this one is definitely ready!”

FEELING GOOD AT THE HOSPITAL The attention and professionalism comes first of course and I've always loved my stay at @winniehospital But, when you're staying for a few days, having your things, some cute decor and custom stuff is something I had not considered initially and it definitely made a difference. The rooms at Winnie Palmer are nice but when @lalluproductions came with decor and cute little snacks to create a special custom corner for my daughter, the room came to life. On top of that I had platters with custom cookies @lafiestadebetty made for me too to have in the hospital. This time around I really didn't want too many visits. I'm valuing my privacy more than ever as recuperating and bonding with my daughter is my priority. However, even if you don't want visitors it's a nice thing to have for yourself and your spouse to snack on and feel nice and welcomed in your room. It also felt good to be able to offer the hospital staff some treats as a thank you. They were definitely in love with it and many asked for the contact info and took pictures. Even their Marketing and Customer Service people couldn't resist a picture or two. So, if you have a mom-to-be or a loved one going through some surgery with a few days at the hospital... these may be cute ideas to gift and make them and the people around better.
