2. Is there any specific ritual you go through while/before/after your writing?
I’m not sure if it counts as a ritual, but while I’m writing, it’s usually absolutely silent in my room XD no music, no youtube, because otherwise I can’t stay focused. Usually I open up my German/English dictionary page on my second screen if I quickly want to look up a word, but that’s all in terms of preparation before I get started. After a longer writing session I usually get up, don’t re-read what I’ve just written, and go and make a cup of coffee or tea as a reward :3
6. First fic/pairing you wrote for? (If no pairing, describe the plot)
Oh boy… I think the first pairing I ever wrote something for in a fandom context in general was Mshenko in Mass Effect. As a fic or ficlet, it was probably Tamlen and Dorian, but could also be that it was Delas and Zevran, I’m not certain, because by the time I really got active in the Dragon Age fandom Inquisition was already out. Looong before that though I wrote (never published) fics about TES IV Oblivion, about my Hero of Kvatch (who was the biggest Mary-Sue xD) and her adventures. I also wrote fics about some of my favourite animes, but I’m honestly too embarrassed to talk about the plot for those xDDD It was nothing sexual at all, but in hindsight just so weird on so many levels, involving shape-shifting and whatnot in the contexts of modern-day settings that had no shape-shifting whatsoever xD
15. Your guilty writing pleasure?
If it counts: foreshadowing. I love it so much xD I’m not sure if I’m always very good at it, but just knowing for myself that I just mentioned a tiny detail that is going to be very important later on very early in the story gives me so much life - even if the readers never pick up on it XD I love doing it in my tabletop game, too :3c
