ok SO in terms of which hpii theory i think is the most accurate (aside from the whole ‘the entire album is a 9/11 metaphor which i do not like) is the fandoms most widely accepted theory, basically Simon meets Stella, Simon kills Stella, Simon gets electroshock therapy, Simon sails out to find her but dies trying yadayadayadad all that.
that theory definitely is the backbone for a lot of other hpii stories but my other personal favourites (or just tweaks to the story) have been
• Simon gets caught in a storm and washes up in Hawaii (instead of him purposely sailing to Hawaii) (im so sorry but i forgot who made that one. 😢😢)
• hpii is a metaphor for the stages of grief and loss
• @compicit-rotting ‘s theory about the teenage goddess who’s controlling Simon and Stella and like..uuugufjf it’s so cool check it out 🤤‼️
• or Simon got sent to the electric chair instead of electroshock therapy. i know it makes more sense for electroshock thearapy but i like it INSANE
