Barred Owl shot during a class w/ #mymikescamera & #hawkquest It was an amazing opportunity that I am incredibly grateful for. I love photographing #birdsofprey in the wild and to be up close was something special. These are rescued animals that cannot be released back into the wild. #lovenature #bestbirdshots #birdsofinstagram #barredowl

Barbara Lawlor, Nederland. Creatures of the night. HawkQuest volunteers brought in five amazing owls to the Wild Bear Solstice celebration. The Mountain Ecology Center was packed as they learned about each owl and had a chance to get up close and personal.
