Look, whether her romantic partner is Haymitch, Maysilee, or both, you better believe that Lenore Dove’s got that autistic lovergirl charm that makes them so incredibly down bad for her.

sotr two victors au:
when plutarch devises that spinning haymitch & maysilee as star-crossed lovers could save both of their lives, they are forced into a performance that haymitch knows will have dire consequences on his relationship with lenore dove when he returns home. unbeknownst to him or maysilee yet, being caught in this love triangle will bring feelings to the surface maysilee never intended to face. (relationships: haymitch/lenore dove, haymitch/maysilee, lenore dove/maysilee)
@thgsapphicsweek day 4: canon divergence au or mistaken for a couple
AU where Lenore Dove is dating both Maysilee and Haymitch, and Haymitch+Maysilee are friends and/or queerplatonic partners, and they both constantly “fight” over who can shower Lenore Dove with the most love/affection/intimacy.
decided to check the haysilee tag on ao3 for old times’ sake—and because sotr haysilee have really good chemistry if you ignore the forced-in sibling shit, damnit!—and I’m seeing a lot of really interesting concepts.
I’m (mostly) on team lesbian maysilee these days—not because of the forced sibling crap, but rather the meta of her being angry about the injustices of her world that affect her on “every level”/her not being the person anyone expects at first glance/her being squeezed into so many social boxes—but haysilee will always have a piece of my heart.
post-sotr haysilee shippers, I will always stand by you. we as a fandom almost unilaterally ignored the brotherly-love bullshit with snowjanus—yes, that was really collins’ intention with them—so why should haysilee be any different? don’t let the haters keep you down. I might even check out some of your fics.
kinda off topic, but I have to mention this somewhere: haydovesilee!!!! I am begging y’all to write more haydovesilee!!!! that’s some FIRE stuff right there. absolutely insane chemistry!!!!
How I feel being one of the three Haydovelee (or haydovesilee) shippers on here seeing people arguing about how haysilee shippers are awful (they are gonna hate me)
I ship Haydovesilee but mostly in the context of romantic haydove+maydove, and queerplatonic haysilee.
you’re telling me I have to write haydovesilee fic myself? it won’t just magically appear on ao3?
I’m fine with any sort of haydovesilee content I can get my hands on HOWEVER my personal vision of them is thus:
haymitch/lenore dove = romantic/sexual
maysilee/lenore dove = romantic/sexual
enemies to lovers fr fr
I hc that they had a situationship of some sort when they were younger (ages 12/13) before maysilee went full internalized homophobia and broke it off (leaving lenore dove an absolutely emotional wreck)
haymitch/maysilee = queerplatonic/non sexual
think it’s romantic at first, because they don’t know what a-spec stuff is and interpret this closeness and devotion as romance.
but then tam amber teaches them about qprs and a-spec stuff (he’s aroace TO ME!!!!) and suddenly that confusion and slight discomfort at calling themselves romantic partners is gone.
they aren’t “siblings” as they first labeled themselves in the games, they aren’t romantic partners like they first thought (and how the capitol paints them), but rather something entirely different. something only they can define.
