Character Names

Heaven's Ant Farm where the characters mix science with religion.

You observant ones and those in the know will by now realize the genesis for how I named the characters in Heaven’s Ant Farm.   That’s right, they are the angels associated with the great religions.

The meanings are all salient in Heaven’s Ant Farm where science mixes with religion—just like this medieval picture of an angel in what looks like a spaceship.

Hayyel: Not a Robot (completely)

It had been a pretty slow going night on the farm, which was really how it was every night. You guessed that maybe if you put more publicity around your work more people would show up. But you're pretty well known by a few that can get the word out if something goes wrong with a pet or a lusus.

So, for now, you're out near the front of your farm, taking care of the horses while ferretdad runs around on the field and up on the horses, resting in their manes and nibbling at their ears.

It's a pretty peaceful night to be honest.

What’s your happy place? Anywhere but real life.  I live in the fantasy worlds I create because I'm a slightly crazy, nocturnal writer

When I say, “the best day of your life,” what’s the first memory that comes to mind? the day I get published, if that ever happens

What’s your favorite song at the moment? Angel with a Shotgun by the Cab. perfection in every way.

Who was your first celebrity crush? I was that weird kid who didn't have a celebrity crush. but my favorites right now are Robert Carlyle (rumple in OUAT and Rush in SGU) and Christophe Mae (some french dude you most likely haven't heard of)

What book has had the greatest impact on your life, and why? the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead.  I love her style and I find myself mimicking her a lot. I even read her books to study writing techniques!

You have to dye your hair (root to tip) an unnatural color. Which color do you choose? if red/scarlet is considered unnatural, then that. if not that, then rainbow because fuck the system rainbows are cool

Cheez-its or Goldfish? goldfish. cheez-its are a bit too strong in cheesiness, plus with goldfish I can pretend to be a monster when I eat them

What’s your favorite kind of weather? warm enough to wear short sleeves and shorts, but not really actually warm.  almost room temperature, I guess.  not windy at all, and a foggy haze all around you. experienced that in middle school once. coolest weather moment of my life

What does your dream home look like?  Okay it has a huge bathtub, that's the most important thing.  really big, lots of land that I don't have to take care of but is really green, room for my alpaca, a special cat room for the cats, a mancave for me except I'm not a man, a pool that's both indoor and outdoor, and something from the sink fandom would be necessary

You can only keep four of your five senses. Which ones do you keep and why? I'VE ALWAYS HATED THIS QUESTION. I'd get rid of smell because I could still taste things at least a little bit.  I can't live without being able to sing badly or see what I'm drawing or hear music.  I just can't.

1. I'm currently re-writing the first book in my eight-book series (that's a lot of books I know I've been told) and I wanna get it published at soooome point

2. I'm an artist and I draw in manga/anime style because pretty :3

3. I'm left-handed (which actually isn't awesome because there's a lot of little things that left-handed people have to go through that's really annoying idk)

4. I REALLY LIKE CATS AND THAT'S PRETTY DAMN AWESOME BECAUSE CATS

5. My bookshelf has so many heavy books on it that it's sinking in the middle of the shelf and I'm afraid it's going to break cuz do you even know how heavy the Oz series is (hint: really heavy)
