“I suppose you’re looking forward to the sock-hop?” Noel raised an eyebrow, a bitter tone in his voice. Was he excited to get to see all the tourists out partying on the same night? No. Not at all. Noel had been walking behind her desk, where Audra was sitting, when his hands came upon a flyer for the sock-hop event, settled in the corner of the table. His fingers twisted the flyer towards him, and he briefly read over the details one more time. Finally, he scoffed, shaking his head as he walked off, completing his route around her desk, before settling into the chair across from her. “You’d be old enough to remember the 50s, wouldn’t you?” He smirked, getting comfortable in his seat.
“You’ve been busy this week, Audra,” Noel continued, never mind the implication that he’d been keeping some kind of tab on her. “Anything I should be made aware of?” He raised an eyebrow. Regardless of whether or not their viewpoints aligned on certain matters - and whether or not her investments made life more difficult for him as he attempted to stem the onslaught of tourists into Elmerton - Noel appreciated being kept in the know. Not to mention, he certainly appreciated her company.
